We had the good fortune of connecting with B. Octavious Sims and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi B. Octavious, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
Making sure to help others and to always give back.

What should our readers know about your business?
Myself and Gregory Griggs started SimGriggs Productions in 2011. We started out trying to figure out a way to do what we loved to do but without waiting on someone to say “You got the role or you didn’t get the role.” We had enjoyed being in other people’s productions but it was time for us to create and bring in our own.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This is a difficult one because w like to just go and try something new. We will get with our friends and book a random place and an air bnb and just go and explore thats town and eateries.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
