Hi Ayonna, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
My long-term aspiration is to leverage my voice as an established speaker, drawing from my life experiences to engage in meaningful conversations about pressing social issues and actively contribute towards their resolution. Additionally, I aim to further develop my personal brand and grow as an accomplished entrepreneur, ultimately leaving behind a legacy for future generations, including my children.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
“I believe what distinguishes me is my journey from denial to acceptance of my calling as a speaker. This transformation has enabled me to leverage my gift effectively. I recognize that many individuals in the world struggle to recognize or act on their own callings due to self-doubt. I’ve embraced my truth, becoming a voice for those who find it difficult to articulate life’s complexities. Enrolling in college was a pivotal moment, solidifying my connection with my calling. Representing my college in academic competitions, achieving 1st place statewide and 7th place nationally, affirmed my path.

My path to success was laden with challenges, which I surmounted through prayer, discipline, and unwavering perseverance. Throughout this journey, I’ve embraced humility and the understanding that others hold keys to doors I may wish to enter someday. Kindness is a value I hold dear.

I want the world to recognize Ayonna Harrison as a resilient, intelligent woman who has triumphed over adversity on multiple occasions. Her story stands as a testament to her experiences, offering guidance and inspiration to others facing adversity, teaching them the art of perseverance.”

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I find great enjoyment in both savoring delicious meals and engaging with like-minded individuals. My idea of leisure often involves attending conferences and seminars, where I have the opportunity to immerse myself in enriching experiences and connect with peers who share similar interests and aspirations.”

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My two children have been significant sources of motivation in my pursuit of success and goals. Their presence has been instrumental in driving me towards my dreams. Additionally, I owe a debt of gratitude to Ms. Sean Fowler Smith, who has played a maternal role in my life and supported me academically since my early years. She instilled in me the belief that there are genuinely caring individuals who want to see you prosper. Lastly, I extend my thanks to all those I’ve encountered along the way, for offering words of encouragement, sharing wisdom, or providing valuable resources.
