We had the good fortune of connecting with Ayianah(Pressure) Dugar and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ayianah(Pressure), what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
202Pressure is my 3rd business. I wanted to do something different that no one is doing. Everyone sell lashes or do hair/nails. No one sell/make hookahs where I stay & I love it. I was scared to start the business because it cost a lot & money would be lost so it was a risky chance.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m proud about my business. I started my business in 2020 right before Covid. I always thought it wasn’t a good idea because the city was going down & nobody would spend money, little do I know during that time, I made the most money ever. I stayed sold-out & it became very overwhelming. I stay down & believed in myself & kept pushing myself & now people can’t think about hookahs without saying my name. Starting this business, it was easy because I had 2 previously businesses so I knew what it took.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take everybody to sudos in conyers Ga. Great hookah, great food, great drink & great service. Long as there is lemon pepper wings with casamigos margaritas, it’s a lit vibe!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shoutout to my mom Altonia Dugar! She helped start all businesses by putting money down first or helping me by promoting my business! I love you mommy!
