We had the good fortune of connecting with Awesome David and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Awesome, what do you want your legacy to be?
I don’t necessarily want people to remember me, I’m just another human being, I never cared for fame nor do I value money. Personally, I would love for people to remember my actions more than anything. Since I was young I’ve always wanted to add something to other people’s lives whether it was joy, excitement, or just company. And now I can do all of that through my brand, Reign Clipse. Being able to advocate for those pursuing lifelong dreams and goals is enough for me. I never cared for what people thought about me and to this day I don’t. I just ask that everyone remembers my actions.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Man, I haven’t even started yet honestly. The only thing that separates me from the man next to me is my passion. It took a lot of self-learning and hours of Youtube to even understand clothing, fashion, sewing, and embroidery. To this day I’m still learning how to sew professionally but I’m taking it one day at a time. The hardest part of not only being an entrepreneur but an entrepreneur in the fashion industry is finding resources and the right people to help turn your ideas into reality and I’m still trying to find those things. But like I said I have to take it one step at a time. One thing I’ve learned about entrepreneurship, well more so life is that if you want it you have to go get it and sacrifice is a big part of that. Everyone should “rule the stars’ or in other words, chase their dreams. Don’t ever let anyone belittle your goals in life, the sky isn’t the limit aim for the stars.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
That’s actually funny I haven’t seen my best friend in a while she’s in Vanderbilt balling out right now. It’s crazy I’ve lived in Georgia my whole life and it was my first time in Atlantic Station last month. Don’t laugh at me, but I’ve probably only been in Atlanta for maybe 6 months and I have no idea where anything is. I really just enjoy people’s company that’s enough for me, but if I had a choice… I’d probably take her to the Sun Dial really because I’ve never been and we both hardly ever dress up. I know that bill is gonna kill my pockets but it’d be worth it at the end of the day. I’m still exploring Atlanta so if I find anything else I’ll let you know. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’m really grateful for how far I’ve gotten and I really want to thank God for getting me as far as I am. I want to shoutout all my people for supporting me, specifically my close friend group this includes, Ben, Mason, Malik, Tebibu, and Ewewnet. More so, Mason I never told him but he has such an encouraging and lifting spirit; we can be at any function or event, and out of nowhere he pops out in Reign Clipse and it means a lot, like seriously I can’t even put it in words. Shout out to Maurice and his brand Shameless, seeing other young people running the game humbles me. AMBAM, Boe, aka Amber thank you for being my rock. And my brothers too Marvelous, Divine, and Jeffery y’all are the best man. I could name so many more people but y’all know who you are, from the bottom of my heart thank you.
