Meet Ava Ralph | Serial Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ava Ralph and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ava, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
Focused. On. Purpose. is the essence of The Lady Ava Marie Brand! I created this personal motto in my college years where I learned I can do anything, or be anything but I had to no clue where to begin. After observing the people in my life, I found that the best option for me was to be exactly who God called me to be! I realized I was designed for a specific purpose while on this earth and that is where my best life is. When my mindset shifted to purpose, the search for myself became clear and aligned. Focused On Purpose looks like dropping anything or anyone that doesn’t add to my future, goals, or desires. This became so increasingly healthy for my spirit, mind and body that I literally started to focused on being focused. That means I am intentional about limiting distractions but concentrated on who I’m called to be and what my hands are doing. I wake up every morning remembering it is only my God given purpose that will last forever.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Hmm mama did I make it yet? Listen, this here brand is a true purpose that came from the fire! I was down and completely over corporate america but broke! Let me tell you, we were so broke my husband (a mortician student at the time) and I were sharing a 2 for 3$ at McDonalds. We would split the nuggets and share a small fry. We would drive doordash just hoping someone cancelled their order so we could have dinner! That’s how rough it got! But out of this fire, the brand was formulated. In these moments, I began to piece together all of my attributes, talents, and personality traits while deciding what kind life I wanted to live. After much prayer, tears, and more failed doordash trips, my purpose became clear- thus forth The Lady Ava Marie brand. The Lady Ava Marie Brand is a boutique for those who classify themselves as Opulent. While you can shop and upgrade your standard with the items offered, The L.A.M.B also creates opportunities for ladies who are purposed for entrepreneurship! I am so proud of the perseverance that derived from this calling and the forward empowerment it alludes to other women.
Of course none of this was easy! Challenges still come and go but I embrace them as they are constantly redirecting me towards greatness. I approach and overcome these challenges with prayer, serene focus and an optimistic mindset. The best lesson I have learned is to- NOT FAINT! The good is coming to you if you don’t give up! KEEP GOING no matter what! Wipe your tears, be grateful, and TRY AGAIN! Always remember, your life is not about yourself, it’s about other people you are going to help one day! That is The L.A.M.B, sacrificing for the next woman!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Victory City Church with Bishop Marc L. House is THE FIRST STOP! The Sunday night explosion will set up your entire trip, getting you right and ready! Then after that we have to head to Marietta diner to get some of the best food the area has to offer! They are open 24 hours and have a drive through for those nights where you simply just don’t want to get out of the car. Monday morning you already know we are headed to the Flying Biscuit, some of the best breakfast there is other than the Maple Biscuit Company. Time to hit the malls baby! From Greenbrier mall to Sugarloaf mall to even K&G it’s time to SHOP! Tuesday we definitely have to go see all of the black history the city offers. We would start at the birth home of Martin Luther the King! After learning about our historic leaders, let’s go have some fun at six flags where they have a little bit to do for everyone. We also would have to stop pass the Barber Bistro where you can get your haircut, have game night, sing karaoke and enjoy a whole steak. We can’t forget about Piedmont Park after eating brunch at 10th & Piedmont where there are events and an ambiance to let loose and just relax. Lastly, you already know we have find a pop up shop! There are so many people hustling and making it happen we have to go support the businesses.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
All credit goes to my personal Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! It is because of Him, I am able to do any of this! Also I have to shout out my hero, my heart, my love, my Captain-Mr. Julius L Ralph II. The best husband anyone could ever ask for. This man is my backbone, my bestfriend and the operations of The Lady Ava Marie Brand. There have been many times I wanted to stop, quit and give up all in one moment but he stepped in. He will pray for me and assure me it’s going to work out. But wait it gets better, this chocolate angel will see whatever task I am struggling with and will do everything in his power to fix it! Lastly, my family! I have 5 siblings and 2 amazing parents who actually helped me get started! My big sister (a fiercely successful entrepreneur) and my mother the true fashionista herself, focused up with me to birth this business and I wouldn’t be anywhere without them! The support is EVERYTHING and I cherish them all so much!
