Meet Auzerais Bellamy: Founder, CEO and Creative Director of Blondery

We had the good fortune of connecting with Auzerais Bellamy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Auzerais, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I believe the most important factor behind Blondery is the fact that we have maintained and exceeded our standards for quality. The product is delivered fresh, intact, and beautifully presented whether we have 5 orders or 5000 orders. It is very difficult to scale up and maintain standards for any kind of business so I am proud of what my team is doing.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is an expression that starts at childhood and got more refined over the years of practice. I believe what sets me apart is my dedication and passion to do things with integrity. From the ingredients, to who and how I hire, to communication with my customers. It has not been easy due to the way business is now shaped. It is very easy to sell someone something these days with the acceleration of social media. However, what keeps customers coming back is the level of attentiveness to not only the packaging but also the communication we have with them. If something is not right, we make it right. They know they can always reach out.
During this journey, I have learned that what is most important is how to you decide to show up for yourself. There are always going to be roadblocks, challenges, etc.. so just settle in and get used to it ASAP. There’s no sense in fighting it because oftentimes, it ends up working for your good. I know that things are always working out for me.
I want the world to associate Blondery with quality baked goods delivered to you at home. I would like them to know that my story is one of self-advocacy. I ask for things. I reach out. I do the grunt work.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
N/A – I’m not in ATL 🙁

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Wow, so many people. My support system is strong! Deborah Kwan is my PR Advisor and she challenged me to level up my packaging at the beginning of 2020 and I will forever remember her advice. I have drawn a lot of help and resources from the Harlem Park to Park Organization, the Columbia University Small Business Development Center, my peers Ethan and Ori from Burlap and Barrel, Shannon from the Financial Gym got my finances all the way together, Ornella of OSQRD is the best bookkeeper in the business and of course my customers, friends and family.
