We had the good fortune of connecting with Auguste Crenshaw and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Auguste, what do you attribute your success to?
AWETHENTICITY, I am a firm believer we should leave others in Awe of who we are. Anyone can label themselves as an entrepreneur.

Although you may not be in competition with anyone else, there is a choice your potential client or customer has to make. Connecting deeply and identifying with your potential clients solidifies brand loyalty.

When I started my business, I found myself attempting to appear “professional”. I wasn’t too edgy which kept me from offending one set of viewers, who never intended to spend with me.

On the other hand, I wasn’t edgy enough to truly resonate with my ideal clients and customers. As soon as the real me stood up people came out in the droves.

Often times entrepreneurs are more focused on their products or services because we are the rejects in our families. We are “different” and couldn’t just follow the plan and go to college and get a good job. That trauma stifles us and we don’t stand up in our authority.

I do so daily and thus command my success.

What should our readers know about your business?
I started with a little. I invested all my money to learn how to navigate these internet streets. While I am proud to admit I am quick to jump, unfortunately, I found myself lost in an expensive group coaching program and unable to pay my rent the following month.

I didn’t make a return on my investment. I was kicked out of the program. I was maxing out credit cards and began falling behind on the payments. That still didn’t stop me; my spirit was locked, and I did everything from the ground up using free resources. I was a sponge and an implementor. I wasn’t afraid of embarrassment. My zeal to operate as my highest self, kept me going. I embraced the art of being while becoming. As soon as I ran my money back up I began reinvesting in myself but with more wisdom. I do take responsibility “for getting got” by the person who sold me a coaching package I wasn’t ready for. Radical accountability and responsibility are necessary in business.

I made a lot of mistakes, but my tribe was forgiving and a guide for me to become a better person, wife, mom, and leader.

I realized I can figure out anything if I play the long game. I didn’t expect anything overnight, but I moved like a beast who did. Mastering the art of zeal and patience simultaneously is the recipe for success.

Ultimately, what this tells you about my business is I gained enough compassion to serve my Queens. I understand their struggles. However, as a Coach I have just enough grit to be raw and real because I also know what is possible.

My coaching business is a sweet recipe of tough love and empathy.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Honestly, I am just starting to get out and enjoy the city. I am learning Atlanta, as I am not a native.

I love to have fun and be active. I love to explore. So we will be on a mission together. As long as dancing, bike riding, shooting pool, and having a drink or two is in the mix we will have a great time. I love good conversation and good food (probably Mexican). I love these types of activities because they offer a combination of connection and an internal vibe. LOL the introvert in me needs to have fun and space.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Bro. Bedford. I jumped into these internet streets not knowing anything. As I said before I was struggling. I was able to speak with him after opting in for one of his free gifts. His genuine concern and wisdom were pivotal in me realizing how clear I needed to be. Big dreams were a start but not enough. He truly loves people. He was concerned about me not his pockets and eventually I would end up investing with him anyway.

He is still a mentor and voice of wisdom in my life. He constantly models love for his people and respect for me. He provides space for me to blossom and grow. Not once have I ever felt I had to change/conform for him to sing my praise.

I am grateful to hear his voice and allow the spirit to speak to me through him. His words have been affirming, corrective, prophetic and empowering all at once.

Mentors of his caliber surely only come once in a lifetime.
