We had the good fortune of connecting with Aubria Green-Slocum and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aubria, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I had just started back work, for a company I been with 7 years, after coming off maternity leave and it was in the midst of Covid19. Everyday the thought of how can I better myself, my family, & my household went racing across my mind. I’ve always gotten complaints on my skin and what kind of products do I use for my face and it got me thinking that would if I could help others feel confident in their skin care. So I invested in myself and went to a class for facials, skin care, and body contouring.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I would like to think I am the person I am today because out of 7 years working in a warehouse and being in management can really bring out the best, the worst, the competitive, and the ideas you never thought of having or even using. Starting off it wasn’t easy, in management and being the front line supervisor it wasn’t excuses but only lessons hard learn lessons. But I overcome them and it makes me the business woman I am today. Many lessons was learned while working my way up but 1 lessons I will alway take with me and that is what makes a good leader is an even better follower. You have to learn and educate yourself on where you want to go in life and how your going to be the boss of your future.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Born & raise in the ATL & it’s no better place to eat, chill, and hangout than on the south side of Atlanta 😂. Atlanta Station, the battery, midtown & Downtown are also other good places to visit. Anywhere in the city you can find a great tasty hole in the whole ma and pops soul food restaurant. We also have the best aquarium you have to visit and zoo for the little ones. Daiquiri factory and a lot of bars have a lot of strong drinks you’ll have to check out as well.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Definitely my husband, family & friends. My husband, Rashad, is very supportive of my business, how it started, how it’s going now, & definitely what it will all be in the future. He is my supportive shoulder to cry on, with him by my side I know we are destine to thrive. Also my family mom, dad sister, brother, aunts, cousins, in-laws all my family and friends supports me and is very happy of my success. My children is what really makes this all worth it. I look at them and it pushes me to keep going.
