Meet Aubrey Tyson | Aubrey Tyson/Realtor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Aubrey Tyson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Aubrey, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My mom was an Atlanta Realtor for many years and I loved the flexibility Real Estate gave her. Once I obtained my license almost 16 years ago I had two small children. It was very important to me to be able to be involved in my kids lives. Real Estate allowed me to work while they were in school, sleeping and also allowed me to be Coach, Team Mom, on different boards for the local Park and Rec.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have never poured money into large marketing campaigns. My business has grown and continues to grow through my family, friends and clients referring me to anyone they know looking to buy, sell or invest in Real Estate. Is my business where I would like it to be, no not all. Real Estate is my passion and I want to continue to grow my business.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There are so many different variables to this question. Depending on the season would have a lot to do with it. Summer time there are beautiful parks, waterfalls and lakes. During the spring and summer I love going to Twisted Oar in Buford. It is a great lakeside bar/restaurant. During the cooler months North Georgia has some great winery and breweries to check out. I have to say Cavender Creek in Dahlonega is my favorite winery. From watching the Dawgs, cheering on the Braves and rallying on the Dirty Birds, Atlanta has so much to offer. Museums, College Football Hall of Fame, Centennial Olympic Park the list goes on. I do have to give one last mention to one of my favorite restaurant/bar in Atlanta, STATS Brewpub.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My kids have been behind me 110%. They have been there when the times were great and when I talked about getting out of the industry. Also, in the past 16 years my clients have become friends and such huge supporters by referring me to family and friends.
