Hi Atia, why did you pursue a creative career?
I chose an artistic and creative path because it’s where I feel most alive and free. Expressing myself through beauty, visuals, and storytelling allows me to connect with others on a deeper level. Creativity has always been my way of healing, communicating, and making sense of the world around me. It’s not just what I do — it’s who I am. Whether it’s nails, photos, music, or film, I create to inspire, empower, and leave a lasting impact. Art gave me purpose, and now I use it to help others feel seen and celebrated.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art sets me apart because it’s rooted in authenticity, culture, and bold self-expression. Every nail design, photoshoot, and creative project I touch reflects my journey — as a Melanated woman, a mother, a visionary. I didn’t follow a traditional path; I created my own lane through passion, hustle, and purpose. I’ve grown professionally by staying true to my voice, learning through experience, and never being afraid to evolve. My brand is more than just beauty or entertainment — it’s about empowerment, storytelling, and elevating everyday people through creativity. I want the world to know that when you see my work, you’re witnessing art with soul, intention, and legacy.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Get ready, bestie — ATL style! We’ll kick things off with brunch at Toast on Lenox, then hit the Trap Music Museum and Ponce City Market for shopping and rooftop vibes. A spa day at Jeju Sauna, followed by a night out in Edgewood or a rooftop lounge in Buckhead. We’ll check out Piedmont Park, do a quick nail session by me (Pressed by Atia, of course!), and maybe catch a live show or film set. Food, fun, music, and memories — just how we do it in the A! Pack cute fits and get ready to vibe all week.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
To my three beautiful children — you are my greatest inspiration and the reason I push forward every day. Your love, laughter, and light fuel my passion and drive. I want you to see that dreams are worth chasing and that creativity has power. Everything I build is for you — to show you that you can create your own path, stand in your truth, and thrive doing what you love. You motivate me to rise above every obstacle and to turn my vision into legacy. I do this not just for me, but so you can dream even bigger.
