We had the good fortune of connecting with Asia Saint Rowe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Asia Saint, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Simply put, my father. He started his own record and technology company back in 2006 while he was in the military, it was always something inspiring to me. He groomed me and my sisters to always see the bigger picture, him and my mother. I truly decided to start my own business because it is hard to get hired for certain companies, gigs and such and I was just like, ok- I guess I can try and do it on my own then! So, with what my parents instilled in me and also just researching and studying people who inspire, I took the leap and just started my own business.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
So I know I’m not the one to coin the phrase “Jane of All Trades” but that is truly what I feel like I am. My art is way bigger than a label. I may not be a physical painter but I create art in other forms; rather it’s photos, music videos, documentaries, and making over someone’s home or business… I’m bringing a masterpiece to someone in all shapes and form. I’m proud that I didn’t allow people to tell me I can only do one thing. That part right there is not easy at all, especially when you have to show people constantly that me having multiple passions doesn’t mean I am all over the place- it just means God put on this earth to do more than the average. I just want the world, mainly the ones out there who might be just like me, to understand if you can bring consistency to it- do whatever the hell you love to do, no matter what!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
AHH, well ok, it all depends on what that friend or family might like to do. However, I love museums so that would be a place I will take them. Rather it’s the High Museum of Art, The Trap Museum, Auburn Ave & MLK Museum, Delta flight Museum or even the Coca-Cola museum (lol that one is my best friend’s favorite) . Probably go down to Edgewood or PCM for some drinks and food. There is so many places here in Georgia that I can show that I can’t think off the top of my head at the moment lol .

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Oh my, my parents are number 1, they deserve crazy credit! I feel too many people like to say they didn’t have help from anyone at all but some forget to include their parents who probably helped pay a bill or two while you get your business off the ground or helped guide you into the person you are today. So, my main shoutout goes to Teresa and Robert Rowe! Then afterwards my sisters, Quashetta and Jasmine – who also is on a journey of creating their own businesses as well! My whole family honestly, because they’ve been my biggest support system then anyone I’ve ever known. My family is my mentors, they all been apart of so much that it allowed me to learn just from talking to them.
