Meet Ashley Murphy | Owner, The Bunny Hive Smyrna and The Bunny Hive Peachtree City

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Murphy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashley, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
While being a parent is a deeply joyful experience, it can also be lonely. We help caregivers meaningfully connect with their communities and make friends for a lifetime, while also providing them with the opportunity to do something wonderful for their little ones.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Bunny Hive is a social club for little ones age 0-5 and their grownups. We offer classes ranging from ballet to baby massage to culinary exploration, and we also host private events on the weekends. I wanted to open The Bunny Hive in my community, because I’ve personally experienced the need for community and connection as a parent. While I have experience in the broader business world, primarily in the tech sector, these are my first brick-and-mortar experiences, so I’ve needed to learn about everything from negotiating a lease to renovation to staffing excellent teachers. I believe that what’s helped me most is identifying as a lifelong learner with a growth mindset. I may not know something yet, but I’m willing to learn and just keep going.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I definitely would want to show them the Smyrna community! In addition to The Bunny Hive (of course!), we’d take a walk on Silver Comet Trail, grab a drink at Eleanor’s inside Muss & Turner’s (where the cocktails AND mocktails) are wonderful, eat fried green tomatoes at South City Kitchen, and stop by the Smyrna Handmade Market on Sunday.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to give a shoutout to my husband, Jared. Being an entrepreneur and a mother is not easy and requires an incredible support system. I’m thankful that he supports me on this adventure!
