We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Martin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I have now redefined the definition of risk as being an intended act to be considered as a blessing instead of a faulty decision when it comes to making strategic plans to excute. This means with being a business owner there will be more unknown outcomes because of venturing into unknown terriority. This may cause doubt, fear, and anxiety among other emotional disturbances. Instead of venturing with intimidation, I have decided to make decisions that have been made from the basis of weighing out pros and cons. As long as there are more pros than cons I will view these risk as a blessings that I am willing to embrace.

What should our readers know about your business?
My story is truly a story for the history books. The name of my business is Changing Lanes Intervention Human Services LLC. This behavioral healthcare private practice specializes in Autism, Mental Health Therapy, Psychological Evaluations & Testing, Intellectual Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Abuse. We offer virtual, at-home, community, or in-office services. We are located in Georgia and South Carolina. I have a team of licensed & professional staff that range from social workers, professional counselors, family therapists, psychologist, board certified behavior analyst, medical assistants, and registered behavior technicians.

We also proud ourselves with offering Professional Development not just for our staff but for the general public with being an Approved Continued Educaton Provider with the Board Analysis Certification Board. This means that we offer book(s), recordings and in-person educational trainings on topics that range from Autism, Mindfulness, ADHD, Bipolar, Depression, Trauma and much more. We offer 40 hours of training and competency testing for those seeking interest in becoming a regisered behavior technician. We also offer Certification in becoming a Behavior Coach.

So much more instored but the biggest joy of it all is finding ways to reflect on the journey to have achieved everything thus far. Being proud about all of current works of service. These are moments that has been humbling when those challenges arise with being able to look back and know that if I a delay is never a denial. I would want the world to know my legacy through my talents and acts of service.

We are always willing and open to hiring interns interested in furthering their educational experience with learning more about behavioral healthcare.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If a friend was coming to visit. I would tell them to back some gym clothes, jacket, brunch and lounge/lobby attire. This is because I would want to take them on a few brief walks in the city and parks that offer nature views, fine dinning, vendors and shopping outlets. We may go to the city winery and Inman park area to name a few spots.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
You are the company that you keep is my motto! When asked is I have a shouout to give in honor of all my success I proudly can say YES!! Having a lifestyle that devotes countless hours that may cause my limited physical presence or communication can weigh heavy on relationships. I can honestly say that my family and friends are all supportive. This has been possible through via zoom, phone, day trips, lunch or dinner dates. Thank you God my daughter, parents, siblings, and friends!
