We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Love and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, how do you think about risk?
There was a time I didn’t take risk and feared them. But that changed after listening to a friend of mine share her experience about her growth being a result of the risk she took.

My success in my business comes from the risk I take. While they are scary they are necessary for growth. My clientele increase once I started taking risks. Boundaries were respected once I started taking risk.
Taking risks can look different for different people. Knowing that no matter what the outcome is, there will always be something to learn from risk taking.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a professional beauty consultant that provides services to inspire and elevate the everyday woman’s beauty. My focus is healthy and sexy. I want women to look and feel their best in the healthiest way possible.

My love for art and makeup began in high school. I enjoyed the transformation process and the feeling I got after makeup and lashes and wanted to help others feel the same. When I was working at CVS I took the opportunity of being a beauty advisor to practice my craft and become familiar with different products..

The biggest challenge I’ve faced in my business is building relationships. I like to do things on my own and typically won’t ask for help. While being independent is good it can also hinder your growth. I’ve struggled with balancing the two.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There are a few local restaurants that I’ve been to multiple times and highly recommended; Sisters Thai, Virtue Feed & Grain, Ada’s on the River, Kinship and L’Ardente.

Swingers, Top Golf, The Arboretum  or a pop up shop could also be the move.
Museums are also a must along with a themed pop up event.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I give a shout-out to my amazing daughter who is a risk taker and inspires me everyday.

I get my strength and courage from God. I also want to acknowledge my husband and all the support and hard work he has put into my business.
