We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Huggins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think about risk as getting out of comfort zone doing things that you usually never do on a regular basis.

I woke up one day and told myself” today will be the day I’ll start creating content on my skin, beauty or fashion. “Taking a risk can result in failure but I always take my risk into Lessons. I thank God and Individuals that help supported me through my journey in creating content.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Being a small content creator is not easy. But staying focus, consistent and confident in your work will set you apart from others actually putting in the time and dedication.

They were many challenges especially having a full time job in the medical field. There has been days where I would come home and go straight to be bed, but realizing just “one” person that’s all it takes is just one to get you back into the groove on being committed. I told myself to just start recording doing your skin before going to bed and edit that and I was so shocked by the results. I woke up one day not expecting not many views on a short I created on YouTube and I had over 55,000 views and 2,000 likes and that honestly gave me the grace I needed within myself.

Lessons I learned along the way is there will always be critiques that won’t support your art. I’ve learn that my critiques are my supporters to help me and teach me along the way on what I need to correct or better myself on when editing my videos.

I want the world to know about my story is that I’m authentic as it gets. I battle with skincare and low self esteem growing up as a child and I want other peers to feel enlighten that they can do the same thing as I am doing you don’t have to have money to start creating content. Grab your phone , iPad or create that podcast and start recording.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting the area and show them a good time I would take them to the most visited places in the Atlanta area so I’ll take them to the Atlanta Botanical Garden, Coca Cola Factory, and take a class on making a candle, perfume, or pottery! Places to eat i usually let Instagram decide on that with so many options of eatery in the Atlanta area I will definitely let us try some top tier brunch places such as Breakfast at Barney’s.
Places to hang out well me and my best friend love to shop so I’m going for the malls Ponce city Market, Atlantic Station, Avalon mall, and thrifting.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shout out to all my supporters!! Everyone that has been consistently tuning in to my videos on Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok and YouTube. They have been my motivators to never give up on what I love.
