We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Fields and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
As a single mother, I needed more flexibility in my schedule. Accounting has always come easy to me since I took my first course in high school. I decided to quit corporate America back in 2014 and haven’t looked back ever since.

What should our readers know about your business?
Fields Accounting Firm, Inc is a Full-Service Accounting Firm specializing in tax preparation and planning, bookkeeping, accounting, and payroll services. We serve individuals, small to medium sized businesses, owner/operator truck drivers, and non-profit organizations.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If a friend was visiting for a week hers what I’ll plan: Jazz night at the High Museum, Marlow Tavern, Ride bikes on the beltline, visit Kennesaw Stone Mountain, and brunch at First Watch.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shout the author of the book the ‘Raving Fans” Ken Blanchard. This book taught me how to connect with clients which helps retain that business year after year.
