Meet Ashlee Bankz | Rapper, Songwriter, Record Executive, Record Producer, & Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashlee Bankz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashlee, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success/the success of my brand, is to build from the ground up. Everything surrounding my brand is authentic. My success is/will be genuine. Everything coming my way is well deserved. There’s no cheat code. I believe in authenticity, originality, & most importantly building step by step.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart from others is I’m me & I enjoy being me. My art is authentic. My music reflects different time periods throughout my life. I’m most proud of my drive and my ability to keep going no matter what. Being in the music business isn’t for the weak. I’m proud I never folded. What i’m most excited about is my future and where I’m headed. I’ve accomplished many goals, but now i’m thinking bigger. To get to where I am today, it took me sacrificing a lot & stepping out on fait. I learned to believe in me and trust myself good or bad. Nothing comes easy, I’ve been faced with many challenges but how I overcome them is to keep going and learn from the many different experiences/rollercoaster’s life takes you on. The lesson I learned along the way is wisdom doesn’t come without scars. My grandfather taught me that. What I want the world to know about my brand/story is this is generational wealth im building. This is legacy built from the ground up. No goal is to big accomplish yours and inspire somebody else in the process.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One of my favorite places is California. If they were in the city LA specifically, I would take them to eat at Crustacean’s in Beverly Hills. It’s five star dining and the whole place is an experience! Also, we would hit up the hood and pull up on a few of my LA people for some good laughs, BBQ, and drinks. We would chill by the ocean, visit Malibu, post up in the hills, go shopping and just enjoy all California has to offer. We would enjoy the scenery, relax/chill on the beach, do a road mini road trip, and each day we’re there it would be something new! Knowing me is to know I’m very spontaneous. I love trying/doing new things and most importantly having fun. Good vibes, energy, and company!

This shoutout is dedicated to those who have believed in Ashlee Bankz since DAY ONE! To those who have genuinely supported me, believed in me, and STILL are constantly rooting for me. THANK YOU! I don’t take anything for granted. First things first, Shout out to GOD! He’s the greatest. Thank you to my grandparents for their love, support, prayers, & wisdom. My mom for teaching me how to survive and rise above. My little brother Camari, who keeps me going. My producer/big brother Epikh-pro for building/putting up with me and all my craziness. My bestfriend Buckee who recently passed away, I wouldn’t be Ashlee Bankz without him. My team, family, and friends. I’m thankful for my support system. I’m blessed. And last but not least, SHOUT OUT TO ME! ITS CHAMPAGNE SEASON!
