We had the good fortune of connecting with Arthur Jackson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Arthur, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Diving more into the golf industry I’ve found it harder to have a work life balance. The end goal is to be able to find a medium of having and outside world of golf. Golf to me is everyday and outside of work it is as well. So over time I’ve tried to figure out what else I could do and not become overwhelmed with golf being everyday

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
So currently I am the Area Manager for Georgia. Working for a custom club fitting company. What I’m most proud of is how fast I was able to excel in my career. I always love interacting with people and also dealing with equipment. So what could be better than being a golf fitter. It was a tough transition to get where I am today. A lot of failures and success of figuring out my craft. Knowledge is a huge part in knowing the equipment and how to fit someone properly into equipment that will help with their game. The challenge is that everyone is different when it comes to golf and figuring that out day to day is always new. There’s always something to learn. It never is the same. Work to me isn’t work. It’s enjoyable to fit people and make connections to the player. Seeing people enjoy golf is my goal.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Georgia is full of great food spots. It’s hard to name one place that I would recommend. I’ve been to Mercedes Benz which is phenomenal. What a place to be for a football game. Catching the Tour Championship is a must. I’ve attended it a hand full of times. East Lake is such a great venue and the Tour Championship is filled with the best golfers in the world since it is the last event of the season.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to thank all my friends and family that have supported me in this path. From creating content. To getting more into the golf industry. It was a hard change coming from a completely different work industry. It was a risk starting from the bottom and working my way up and was unsure of where things would go. I’ve had a lot of support on pushing me to get to do what I love to do. I have a great friend who is a golf pro and helped me fall in love with golf and helping me make the decision of pursuing my interests.
