Meet Arrianna Marie and Bathsheba ‘Babs’ Bauduy : Co-Founder

We had the good fortune of connecting with Arrianna Marie and Bathsheba ‘Babs’ Bauduy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Arrianna & Bathsheba, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
Meeting in Atlanta in 2017 after moving from LA and NYC respectively. Both of us interested in the entertainment and entrepreneurial world, we decided to explore the city together to network and meet new people. After a few outings, we realized that there was a huge void in the Atlanta social scene. People were going to reoccurring events, hanging out in their secluded sections, glued to their phones rather than engaging with each other. The excitement and stimulation was missing from events; it was challenging to create organic connections. After months of analyzing the social scene, we brainstormed on how to fill that void. We came up with a new concept of unique programming that combined engagement and fun in an authentic way; where people could be themselves and meet new people. We took the old elements of relationship building and fused it with innovative elements of experiential activations; hence That Game Social was born.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Our art is creating an authentic, interactive and engaging atmosphere for our attendees. That Game Social has transformed into an event production agency that specializes in unique experiences and activations. We take a 360 approach to all our experiences, focusing on engagement, programming & event design. Since founded in 2018, we have produced over 25 experiences in six major cities: ATL, NYC, LA, DC, Baltimore & Miami. Our vibe, decor and experiential activities sets us apart from others. We are adept to transforming any space into our world. We are proud of our hospitality & ability to bring people together in the corporate world, educational realm and/or entertainment and social scene. Our reputation for setting the tone of a fun and vibrant environment is unmatched. Together we continue to push the envelope, redefining events & activations .We ensure that everyone feels included; no one is an outsider or stranger. We are most excited about expanding our business and developing a product. We will be making an announcement very soon! It was not easy to get where we are today. Every challenge and obstacle was a learning moment. We regrouped, recalibrated and improved our processes. It’s helped us build our working muscle; things that were difficult a year ago are now a breeze. We want people to know that everything looks easy from the outside looking in, but there are so many moving parts in any operation that it can be overwhelming sometimes. What makes it worth it, is our passion, how we make others feel through our activations and events, and actually seeing our visions come to fruition. Our story is still developing and we hope to reach as many people in a positive manner as possible.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
With the pandemic, we’ve all experienced a pivot as it pertains to business in some form or another. For That Game Social and the hospitality industry as a whole, we’ve definitely had to recalibrate the way events are programmed for everyone’s health & safety. With that being said, we’ve had the beautiful pleasure of building a new partnership with another company that has allowed us to create a social event series ‘That Cooking Social’. we’d like to Shoutout The Shular Institute, it is a multi-faceted company that operates as a culinary arts school, restaurant and catering company. The Shular Institute is the first black-owned culinary arts school in North America, led by our good friends certified Master Chef Daryl Shular and Vice President Sean Rush.
