We had the good fortune of connecting with Arianna Wellmoney and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Arianna, what makes you happy? Why?
Acting and playing characters obviously makes me happy, it is my greatest passion and one of the things I love doing the most in the world. Being able to tell a story, live through some else’s eyes and find more about human nature. However, other things enrich my life: my family, my friends, hobbies and even the most mundane things in life are part of what makes me happy.
If acting was my only source of joy, it would be kind of sad in my opinion. What would happen whenever the industry is in a slow period? I would lose my mind! That is why I try to find happiness in the simplest pleasures in life.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I get really passionate about the work that I do, no matter the circumstances – whether it is a small or big role, a high or low budget production, a comedy or a tragedy – I always put 100% of effort in my craft. I feel lucky and very privileged to be able to embody a character and tell a story, so whenever that happens, I become a perfectionist and really do my best to deliver.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would love to have my best friend in town, we always talk about spending time in New York City together. I would probably take her to a haunted house or something horror-related. We both like scary films and I would love to do something spooky with her. There is a house on Gay Street, in the Village, that has a history of ghosts appearances. Slightly east to it, there is also the Merchant House, another downtown spooky attraction. I would love to take her anywhere in the city that is slightly haunted!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My parents deserve a huge shoutout for everything they have done for me over the years. They are my biggest supporters and they help me through anything. Not only they gave me the chance to study abroad, but we keep in touch everyday and they always try to help me in my career, no matter how far in distance we are.
