We had the good fortune of connecting with Aria Cauthen and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Aria, why did you pursue a creative career?
I was destined to be an artist and creative. It just flows and aligns perfectly through me. The arts make up my entire existence whether it is making a product, networking with an individual, interviewing someone or just kicking it at the park with some oil pastels a canvas and some paint supplies. Without arts and creativity I would not be as successful as I am today.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I began being a creative in the 4th grade being apart of my school choir. I have an extreme passion for all things art and beauty. Music, dance, poetry, acting, modeling, fashion, film, painting and anything else that is apart of the creative/ performing arts. What sets me apart is not putting myself into one category. I am well rounded in all aspects of creativity. I am most proud of my bravery thus far with taking leaps of faith within my creativity. I started a business in Feb 2020 with very minimum income. I wrote my business plan in 2019 and sat on it for about a year. Not believing in myself was the toughest challenge and crawling into a dark place of fear and negativity caused me to begin worrying and having thoughts of self doubt. I have learned that as a creative, you may have your days of where you may be discouraged, but the journey isn’t a cake walk and having faith is the most important aspect. Meditation and breathing have gotten me out of some tough mental situations and dark places. Never quitting or dimming your light can take you further than you may know. Trust yourself and the process.
My business name is Jardin D’ Euphorie ( French for Garden of Euphoria) and I sell luxury plant based products made with 100% love and pure intentions.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m originally from Atlanta, GA but I currently reside in Huntsville, Alabama. I moved here in 2014 for college. I graduated with my BA in Communications Media in 2018 and I am almost complete with my second degree which is a MS in Communications Specialist. I typically enjoy good food, artistic vibes, beautiful natural scenery and maybe a nice bar. There are a ton of places I like to go in Huntsville from the outdoor venues where artists can do spoken word and perform, downtown on the weekend for brunch, monte sano mountain to walk the trails and hike, to a simple kickback with my friends. You will have the best time with me in this city because the energy is so beautiful in the Rocket City.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shout out God, my close family and friends and Sound on the Hill, Sound Everywhere LLC for guiding me through my everlasting journey.
