Meet Ari Amour: Model | Graphic Designer | Poet | Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ari Amour and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ari, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
This question is one that most people struggle to deal with. I am a natural born creator so, I literally want to do everything that I know that I can do. With saying that, it’s hard for me to resist trying new things. I will attempt to plan out a specific hobby to fit me and then realize that it may not be for me, so I “give up” with the mindset of knowing that I have experience in this area. I love the feeling of being the jack of all trades and I keeps me going ! 

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
So as I stated, I am a creator. I used that word connecting modeling, graphic designing, and other ways that I express myself. For modeling, I still do find it challenging because in Atlanta, EVERYONE is considered a “model”. I like to stand out and show my supporters that I am about business & don’t just want to be an Instagram model. I have modeled as a brand ambassador for various brands and really found that to be a great start for my role as a model. I see myself at the top by any means and will not stop until I make it!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am a person that likes positive surroundings. Not a major club person but, if my friend was, I would look into a couple of lounge spots that would turn into a lit club scenery so we can get the best of both. I’m into creative things so I would plan outings like the high museum, sip & paints, karaoke, or just attending a networking event.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shout out the photographers that were with me from the start! When I felt like nobody would like to see a black, thicker model in front of their lens, they boosted me and my confidence. ECP & Poetry Pictures were two photographers that were down at any moment to shoot… with no charge! As a growing model, that helped out my portfolio and also with networking. It’s other photographers but, I am grateful that they were able to believe in me from the beginning.
