We had the good fortune of connecting with Aquavia James and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aquavia, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The title of my book (When Being Strong Is Your Only Option: Tears of a Bama Girl) is the most important factor because it speaks for itself, and when it comes to my small business Tink’s the important factor of that is the items that I have available.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I currently work at a call center so I’m not where I want to be at the moment but everything will fall in place.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live in Phenix City, Al so I would take her down town in Columbus (which is 10 minutes away) It’s plenty of bars and fun stuff to do in that area.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I give all the recognition to Katereia Robinson, Achevia Upshaw, Jherett Jones, & Steven McClendon. These four people are the inspiration for my book and Katereia is also the inspiration for my small business.
