We had the good fortune of connecting with Antoinette Reed and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Antoinette, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
One day God had given me an idea to make a purse. I wore the purse around with me everywhere I went and kept getting compliments after compliments on the purse and then God led me to make another purse the same style but a different color and the next thing you know I had made about 10 other purses and started marketing them. This is God’s business. He leads me every step on the way. Soon after God gave me the name of our business one night while sleeping and I set up the website, business cards, etc and started doing pop-up shops selling our one-of-a-kind baggs and earrings and the rest they say is history.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a creative I consider anything I sew as an art piece, God’s masterpiece. This is how I express myself through dressing. What I wear that’s what sets me apart. I never go along with the trend. I am the “TREND” I’ve always worn what I wanted to wear and how with class. I never look at the next person.

I’m most excited about where God is taking me in the fashion business if I continue to put Him first. The bible says but as it is written, Eye hath not seen nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. I Corinthians 2:9 kjv

I’ve got to where I am professionally with God leading me every step of the way. It was not easy but when I fell, I got right back up and dusted myself off and did it again. I’m like the little engine that could. I think I can… I think I can… and I did. I overcame the challenges because I am an overcomer and I can do ALL things through Christ which strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 kjv

The lessons I’ve learned along the way are that your words are your bond. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Let your Nay be a Nay and Yea be a Yea and With God all things are possible.

I want the world to know I love God with all my heart and I can do NOTHING without Him.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots you could take them to?
I am a really easy going and chilled person. I would take my friend to any of the sports arena’s Baseball, Football, Basketball or Soccer games. I am a foodie as well. I love to try new kinds of food. We would just hang out and enjoy the different restaurants around town like Slutty Vegan, Uncle Julio’s- love Mexican food. We would find and have the best virgin drinks we could find around the city because I don’t drink liquor. In my view the most fun, interesting, exciting people, places or things I will check out are museums, parks; I love the outdoors and fashion shows. Anything that has to do with fashion I’m all in.

Yes! Absolutely. I dedicate this shoutout to my mentor. Pastor Tracey Pugh. A woman of God. She is truly a god sent. She has been with me every step of the way. She has prayed with me, trained, taught, and prayed for me. It’s because of God that she is in my life. I can’t thank her enough for all she has and is doing for us.
