We had the good fortune of connecting with Ansley Hernandez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ansley, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Since I was a little girl, I have always had a creative eye. With a degree in fashion design from Georgia Southern University, I have found my way to express my creativity in numerous ways. From creating clothes to now creating charcuterie boards through out Atlanta , it feels amazing to be able to do what I love with no rulebook or specific way, I am truly able to express my talent and I am very thankful.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My interest in charcuterie started in college, where I attended Georgia Southern University. On Saturdays, we would have our college football games where my girlfriends and I would get together and have appetizers before the game. I would always provide a charcuterie board. As time went on, my charcuterie boards became a hit and students around the campus wanted me to make one for their football Saturday too! I decided that maybe I could make something out nothing! After graduation, I decided that this is something I wanted to pursue, so I created AH Artisan Boards. I began expanding my services to not only boards, but also cups, classes, and even grazing tables.. yes the 6 foot long charcuterie board on paper! In the past year my business has expanded rapidly and I have customers all over Atlanta! I love doing what I do and being able to create and be apart of someone’s life!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There is numerous people I could thank for their support in the process of starting up my small business, however my family played a big role in my success. My family believed in me from day one and is so supportive of following my passion. Having a support system that encourages you to try new things and pushes you to do better and go bigger is what I am most grateful for.
