Meet Anna Priddy | Marketing Strategist & Postpartum Doula

We had the good fortune of connecting with Anna Priddy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anna, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business wasn’t just about marketing—it was about rediscovering my passion. After years in the industry, I found myself completely burnt out. I wasn’t enjoying anything, and I knew I needed to take a step back for my own mental well-being. That break gave me the space for some much-needed self-reflection, and through it, I found my love for marketing again.
Through my journey, I also found myself naturally drawn to helping small, mom-owned businesses. I saw how passionate these women were about their work but how overwhelmed they felt when it came to marketing. That’s when I knew—this was where I wanted to focus my time and energy.
At the same time, I sought out another passion of mine: supporting new parents in the 4th trimester, helping them gain confidence in their parenting and teaching them the skills to be successful. This led me to co-own 2 Hearts Doula with my business partner, Penny, where we provide hands-on support and guidance for families navigating postpartum life.
It’s been a wonderful journey to get here because I get to pursue two passions—helping businesses thrive through strategic marketing and empowering new parents during one of the most transformative times in their lives. I truly love what I do, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I grew up with the same mindset as many others—you go to school, get a good job, and build a career in the field you studied. And for a while, that path worked for me… until it didn’t.
I started out in a marketing firm specializing in funeral homes—definitely not your typical first job, but wow, did I learn a lot. From there, I worked at various marketing agencies, really leaning into the digital side as it was booming at the time. One of my proudest moments early on was launching the social media management department at my first job—something I didn’t fully appreciate at the time, but looking back, it was a pretty big deal.
Throughout my agency experience, I wore many hats—some by choice, others because I had a knack for handling tough clients. (Not that I wanted to, but I could.) That ability to navigate difficult situations, stay organized, and communicate effectively helped me grow in ways I never expected. I gained the confidence to speak to anyone, and in the process, I learned a little about a lot.
Then life shifted. COVID hit, I became a mom, and suddenly, everything looked different. The experience was incredibly isolating, and it forced me to rethink what I truly wanted. I had always admired entrepreneurs but never thought I could be one. I told myself it wasn’t for me—until I started questioning why.
In May 2024, I finally took the leap and left corporate life behind. It was terrifying. I doubted myself constantly. But I also realized that I was hungry—hungry to build something on my own terms, hungry to create a business that aligned with my passions, and hungry to prove to myself that I could do this.
Now, with Priddy Mktg (PriddyMKTG.com), I get to help small businesses—especially mom-owned businesses—own their marketing game with confidence and creativity. And with 2 Hearts Doula Care (2heartsdoula.com), I get to support new parents through the 4th trimester, helping them feel empowered and prepared. I never imagined I’d be here, balancing two passions, but it’s been the most rewarding journey.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that the fear of taking a leap will always be there—but so is the opportunity to build something amazing. I want the world to know that your dreams are achievable, even if they feel out of reach. You just have to go after them.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting Atlanta for a week, we’d do it right—starting with coffee, of course. First stop? Sessions Stand in Marietta for a perfect latte and one of their killer breakfast sandwiches. From there, we’d hit some of my other favorite coffee spots like Chrome Yellow, East Pole, and Revolution Doughnuts (because a coffee run isn’t complete without a sweet treat).
We’d spend the week exploring the best of Atlanta and beyond:
Day 1: Classic ATL Vibes
Grab brunch at Bread & Butterfly in Inman Park—because you can’t visit Atlanta without a good brunch.
Walk the Beltline and check out Ponce City Market for some shopping.
Stop by New Realm Brewing for a rooftop drink with city views.
Day 2: Outdoors & Adventure
Early morning hike at Kennesaw Mountain or a scenic walk along the Chattahoochee River at Cochran Shoals.
Refuel with coffee at Cool Beans Coffee Roasters in Marietta.
Lunch at Sushi Burri for a sushi burrito (trust me, it’s a must-try).
Afternoon exploring West Midtown, stopping at The Works ATL for shopping and drinks at Fox Bros Bar-B-Q.
Day 3: Wineries & Mountains
Head up to Ellijay for a day of winery hopping—Chateau Meichtry, Cartecay Vineyards, and Engelheim Vineyards are favorites.
Stop by Blue Ridge for a quick mountain escape, strolling through downtown and grabbing dinner at Harvest on Main.
Day 4: Chill & Relax
Slow morning with coffee at Brash Coffee.
Spa day at Jeju Sauna for the full relaxation experience.
Sunset drinks at The Garden Room.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Oh wow, where do I even start? This journey has been anything but predictable, and I definitely couldn’t have done it alone. My biggest shoutout goes to my husband—who, despite the very real fear of leaving behind the stability of a W-2, has been nothing but supportive and loving through this wild ride of entrepreneurship. His belief in me has meant everything.
I’ve also been incredibly lucky to be part of Women’s Business Connections, an amazing group of women navigating the same entrepreneurial waters. I’ve learned so much from them, and it’s been inspiring to be surrounded by people who just get it. On top of that, I have the most incredible circle of friends—strong, driven women who have pushed me, lifted me up, and reminded me why I started in the first place.
One of the biggest mindset shifts that has helped me take big leaps is Mel Robbins’ “Let Them” theory—realizing that people will think what they think, do what they do, and that’s their business, not mine. Instead of worrying about others’ opinions, I’ve learned to embrace that this is my journey, not theirs. That shift has been pivotal in allowing me to go after my dreams without hesitation.
And honestly, the journey itself has been such a gift. I keep crossing paths with other entrepreneurs, each with their own story, their own struggles, and their own wins, and it’s been nothing short of amazing. I feel so blessed to be part of this ever-growing community of people chasing their dreams and lifting each other up along the way.
