We had the good fortune of connecting with Aniyah Myers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aniyah, why did you pursue a creative career?
I honestly did not intentionally pursue an artistic or creative career. I actually originally had a typical career plan of going to the medical field and becoming some sort of doctor . That dream eventually faded and I thought of pursing phycology but I wasn’t too sure if that’s exactly what I wanted to do either. All I really knew deep down was that I wanted to do something that involved helping people or bettering them in some sort of way. My career path actually sort of came to me. I always wanted to know how to do hair so that I could style my own hair originally. I never thought I would be where I am today . People were demanding my work and I had to release the fears that I had about doing these services on someone else. Ever since I answered that call my life has never been the same in the best way!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others is everything is inspired from my own taste. Everything I offer to my customers and clients are things I would enjoy as well. I want everyone who I service to have a free, safe , relaxing , and comfortable environment when indulging in my services. I honestly got to where I am today by never giving up . Throughout all the trials and tribulations and feeling like I would never be good enough, I never stopped trying. This allowed me to accomplish every goal I set for myself I never thought I would achieve in such time . To get to where I am honestly was not an easy task, but I know god built me for this journey. What really got me through the journey was having faith . I had to realize everything happens when it does for a reason if any of my success happened any sooner I wouldn’t be where I am today ! I just want the world to know this from my story , follow your heart and intuition. Everything you desire in this lifetime could be yours you don’t have to conform but are you up for the challenge ?

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to tsunami sushi for a nice lunchdate. Then we could go out to Perkins Rowe and do a little shopping.
We could stop for another bite at Habeneros restaurant.

I would like to give a shoutout to the most high for allowing me to believe in myself as I continue to make my dreams come true.
