We had the good fortune of connecting with Aniqua Hawkins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aniqua, what do you want people to remember about you?
I want my legacy to be that I helped bring a better lifestyle for my community by providing natural, nontoxic body care products. We all are in a time where we are more cautious about what we eat to be healthy. So that should be considered what we use internally and externally. I want my family to know that I worked hard to break generational curses by building a successful brand. I want people to remember me as being ambitious, nurturing and caring.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Passionate Glow is a natural, non-toxic, cosmetic line. All of the soaps, scrubs, creams, oil blends, are handmade with all natural ingredients. This allows us to care for our skin without the risk of causing illnesses that are in harsh chemicals used in other store brands. Natural body care products can also help treat skin problems because nature is truly our medicine. Passionate Glow is currently online based which works perfect for me as a mompreneur of an infant. Im able to completely run my business from my home. I make the products, take product photos, list them on my website, and I drop orders in the parcel boxes, which allows me to care for my daughter and be safe from the covid-19. A lot of my customers starting out were all people I know personally and word of mouth is helping bring customers. I believe that running a business has its blissful times and its hard times. Ive had businesses before and I had to let them go simply because it just wasn’t working out with so much competition and that was hard for me to let go but I know that I would always recover and start new and strong another time. I want the world to know that I work hard for what I want and usually what I want will benefit those around me as well. I just want to be happy and healthy and live a great life!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well this would be an adventure for us both because i’m still learning the Atlanta area. I know a good ramen place i’ll definitely take us to, its called Jinya. I’d love to take our kids to the Children’s museum and the Aquarium. One of the best spas I’ve been to is called Jeju so that would be a girls day out on my list. I love a good place to eat or to pamper myself.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shout out my daughter, she was born 2020 (pandemic baby), she is my first born and motivates me to never give up on keeping a successful life for our family.
