We had the good fortune of connecting with Angela Paige and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Angela, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process for starting my boutique business was actually terrifying lol. I had previously owned two nail salons and a hair salon in the past and always sold women’s merchandise in each one. I stepped out on complete faith and followed my next dream to open a full women’s clothing boutique offering apparel, bold accessories, fashion handbags and custom leather handbags.
There are many women who do not know how to properly style their body type so
I wanted to put my efforts in place to style them in unique fashionable apparel
My soul and spirit has always been connected to elevate, motivate and encourage women to dress and be super stylish out of their comfort zone. I know how to look at a woman’s body shape, pull clothing from the rack and style her to be absolutely fabulous!
I also started my own line of custom made leather handbags, in which I self taught myself to sew. My goal was to have my line of handbags featured in my boutique. So I birthed Synola Designs Handbags and later Synola Designs Boutique.
As far back as I can remember, I’ve always loved to dress elegant, be pretty and strut in high heels.
My passion for fashion oozed out of my pores and I wanted to spread that passion by having many women revolving in and out of Synola Designs Boutique.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
There is an art to interacting with all types of women in the retail world. My personality is genuine, classy, bubbly and down to earth. I want all women to feel at complete ease when they enter my boutique knowing their experience will be uplifting and amazing. And I’m proud to say I have truly touched many souls with laughter, encouragement and plenty of bold accessories and stylish garments. What sets my Boutique apart from others is the uniqueness of browsing custom made one of a kind leather handbags, custom sugar scrubs by Synola, not your ordinary jewelry but bold pieces that make a statement, clothing that fits sizes small to 3X. My plus size selections are fabulously fly with maxi dresses, leggings, blouses and much more. The ladies appreciate the fact that I carry curvy girl clothing.
I’ve learned many lessons leading up to the opening of my Boutique and the main lesson is to keep pushing, staying focused and never give up on dreaming big for your brand. There will be sleepness nights, long hours, and brain fog lol. I’ve overcome plenty of battles in my businesses but I’ve never given up. Rest, prayer and talking with other business professionals has helped me along the way and I’m forever grateful..
I want the world to be on the look out for much more to come from Synola Designs Boutique.
We now Offer Healthy SeaMoss, Inquire for more info.
Custom Sugar Scrubs with delicious flavors such as Pineapple, Peppermint, Cherry and more.
And a new cosmetics line coming soon.
I’m super excited for all the extra additions that are in the works for Synola Designs Boutique.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of my favorite spots that I would take my best friend starting off with Pappadeaux for their amazing seafood food and drinks… For soul food that would be Lickity Split off of Virginia Ave, such yummy food.. Everything is delicious always!! A couple of places for live music on Thursdays, Suite Food Lounge owned by a friend of mine Tory and the food is also amazing… Hang out to meet some well dressed mature men at Studio Cigar Lounge they always have good live music. We would then visit Kats Cafe for open mic night, they have great pizza there… Sports bar, The Beverly nice spacious place has good food. For the sweet tooth Sublime Donuts on 10th Street oh my so super yummy donuts. And then last to kick of more shopping other than my boutique would be the new Black Wall Street over in the Stone Crest area of town.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
All of my previous clients and present customers deserves credit for being consistent in supporting me and my business.
