We had the good fortune of connecting with Angela Jackson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angela, what do you attribute your success to?
One of my favorite quotes, and something that I tell my clients all the time is, “The mindset is the steering wheel to the business. Where the mind goes the business will follow.” – Angela Jackson

I learned early on the most successful in business have a unique ability to control there mindset aka thaughts. Being able keep a level and positive mindset at every phase of business as I grew has been one of the most important factors that has gotten me to 6-figures and the success of the brand.

Being a CEO and building a business from scratch can feel uncomfortable and brings out fears and unknown insecurities. Many times the natural tendency is to try and stop those feelings. Being an Instagram Sales and mindset coach I’ve learned and teach it’s important to lean into and allow your mind and body feel these emotions as they come up. This is not the time to become paralyzed and quit. Having the mindset that it’s okay to feel uncomfortable and keep going has lead to success.

What should our readers know about your business?
Being an Instagram Sales and Mindset Coach I help entrepreneurs do the things they love without sacrificing income! The best part about what I do is give women the financial freedom they never thought they would have within their business.

My husband and I live in Mexico now, on the Caribbean Sea as full-time volunteers. I tell my clients I want making money to feel like a walk on the beach. I do this by helping them have powerful mindset shifts and breakthroughs that build confidence and get rid of self doubt and other limiting beliefs and fears. I help them streamline their business so now they have time to get massages, take lunch dates, vacay on the beach, pioneer and spend time with their families.

Through my observation many women feel that making money in their business is difficult, hard and will take more time from their family. I’m shifting thier beliefs by showing them how being a CEO doesn’t have to feel overwhelming and actually gives you more time when done correctly.

The coaching business took off during the pandemic. With a two sentence email I lost my full-time job unexpectedly. I could have gotten another job, instead I decided to pivot, bet on myself and focus more attention to the digital makeup business I had started on Instagram.

During the time I had the makeup business other entrepreneurs on Instagram saw my growth and begin to ask questions. I decided to start teaching them what I knew about monetizing thier business on Instagram through coaching. This was a success, within 14 months we became a 6-figure business, and my husband becoming the Coo.

Through 1:1 coaching and my signature group program, SixFigure Captions I’ve helped entrepreneurs make hundred and thousands within their business! I want to make an important note that It wasn’t ever the goal to be a 6-figure earner. Hitting 6-figures came from setting small monthly goals and accomplishing them. The Lesson: Small goals add up to big achievements!

This wasn’t always easy, growing and scaling a business to 6-fiures and beyond brings up fears. One fear that I struggled with and still do at times is a fear of success. I know I have it within me to do great things, impact thousands of lives, and be successful yet I want to be balanced. At times the thought of success has scared me to the point of purposely slowing down growth within the business. I overcome this feeling through self coaching and reminding myself that it’s okay being a first generation 6-figure earner and in the future multi 6-figure earner.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that thoughts have a powerful effect on the actions I take and the results that I have in business. Some of my favorite thoughts that have gotten me to 6-figures and continue to help to build a successful brand are:

Anything is possible, if you can do it, I can too!
I know how to make money on demand & will never be broke
Business problems are life problems: Solve your business problems and your life will change.
Imperfect action is better than perfect inaction
You can do both
Everything is already working
I know what to do
I’m living the best life ever
You can’t escape success, when you keep showing up

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Atlanta is full of delicious eateries and great locations to hang out . I’m old school so getting dressed up in a chic black dress and taking my friend to one of the jazz & blues restaurants downtown is a must do. Being a person who isn’t big on online shopping unless it’s Amazon another place we would check out for shopping and entertainment is The Atlanta Underground. When a friend is visiting the south food is a top conversation and soul food is my meal of choice. I love, love love Paschal’s! It’s my favorite soul food restaurant in Atlanta. I wouldn’t suggest anyone come to Atlanta and not try it!!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Any great skills or abilities that I have are thanks to God. I wouldn’t be able to soar if it weren’t for my rock, business partner, best friend, spiritual husband and the love of my life Antoine Jackson. I dedicate this shout-out to him. My parents, Joseph & Consuelo Hartfield who have been a positive and loving role in my life. Running my own business is in my blood because of them. In fact, my dad owned rental properties and my mom was able to create and keep “side jobs”. She did everything from cleaning banks to working for the elderly in their homes. They were entrepreneurs, we just didn’t call them that at the time, lol. I want to shoutout my brother, Joseph Hartfield 3rd who is always so supportive, encouraging and the best brother a women can have. To the many friends and other family members such as my special grandmother’s Vergie Johnson and Rose Lyons who have wrapped me in their love. To all of my clients who have trusted me to help them make thousands in their business, you have impacted my life more then you will ever know.
