We had the good fortune of connecting with Angel Sidney and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Angel, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
I believe that God gives us visions, and fortunately for me I have a faith so big that I don’t think God would give me such clear and consistent ideas if he didn’t want me to be successful. Giving up is never an option, because what is meant for you WILL ALWAYS be! No one nor any circumstance can get in the way of that.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Angel Le Flair first of all means “with style” in French, it is a shout to where I’m from which is New Orleans which I believe some of the most creative and innovative people come from. Le Flair is way bigger than me or anything I can truly put into words, but ultimate Le Flair is for the people to openly express themselves in their own way. Luxury & streetwear in a beautiful melting pot to generate a wide variety of style. One day you may have a business professional toting my bag, the next you may see a skateboarder with my T-shirt on, a marketing manager with my shades on, a celebrity with my necklace on, a homeless person walking by with one of my tees, the possibilities are endless and that’s what I love most. Owning a business is far from easy, but what it will always be is rewarding! That’s why you always have to have a bigger purpose. One piece of advice that I would give is to think about where you want your brand to go, put God in your plans , then double it because your plans will always be bigger with Him in it. All in all, what I want the people to know about me and my brand is that this is a product of consistency more than skill, this is a part of risk taking when everyone around you said you should. Block out the noise and get to work, because you can and you will accomplish anything you put your mind to and work at it every single day, no matter how small or big the task.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Okay okay, well it’s summer time so I would definitely say pack a bathing suit we are going to LOA rooftop, it has a beautiful view of the city, a pool and drinks. I’d take them to Roc South, they have pretty good gumbo if I do say so myself as well as catfish, mac and cheese, and collard greens. Late night pizza place called Goodfellas had never steered me wrong, nor pretty little tacos! I like a nice chill vibe so Wednesday night Jam Session on Peters Street is always a vibe, live music, art exhibit, and great people. Our bar atl has game nights which is chill and interactive, and then I love karaoke so truth lounge and the nook for the loaded tator tots and a vibe!
Now I haven’t been able to go yet, but rum punch and roc steady I hear are a vibe as well so I’d go there. I really enjoy suite lounge and rande voo on tuesdays. Dang I’m giving y’all all the sauce. Brunch at breakfast at Barney’s, Atlanta breakfast club, or Rosie’s, those are my fav. You can never go wrong with embarrassing yourself at top golf, maybe a hiking trail with some scenery. That’s pretty much what I’d do.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Absolutely, my girlfriend she believes in most time more than I believe in myself! Always suggesting something, but most importantly always pointing me back in the direction of my goals. I couldn’t do any of this without her.
