We had the good fortune of connecting with Angel Hilton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angel, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
Believe it or not – I am a small town girl. Born and raised in Sumter, South Carolina.

My father met my mother while he was stationed in the Philippines via the military. I am confident a lot of who I am today derives from my fathers ‘military like’ ways. I have two younger brothers, and between myself and my two siblings, my father consistently kept us on our toes. Especially me! Although I am daddy’s little girl, I was never treated any different!

He pushed us to think in creative ways, to hustle, to think “smarter, not harder”, and so forth. My father passed on a piece of his knowledge in every moment he had the chance to. It is safe to say – my work ethic, creative mindset, and logical thinking cultivated from my father.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve learned that there may be several people who do what you do, but they do not do it how you do it. What sets me apart from others? My drive, my creativity, and my work ethic. In addition, my passion to connect with others as I truly feel I am a people person.

It’s not always easy to step out of what you know, and to do something different. However, if you have the urge to do something, why not act out on it?

And I am glad I did! I pursued the urge I had. I no longer wanted to work a typical 9 to 5. Although I have always worked great with a team and as an employee, I felt I was better as a leader.

I began working in real estate, in 2016. I learned so much working under an investor who owned several properties within the Atlanta area. From there, I continued to grow within the real estate realm. It became more than a source of income, but more so a passion. I began working along other real estate professionals who openly taught me everything they knew. I can confidently say, I am a fast learner. As I continued my own growth as a real estate professional, several real estate companies began reaching out to me for contractual positions as they needed and valued my professional opinion. Yes, I have learned a lot, but much like everything else in life, there is always more to learn. As we all know, you can “learn something knew everyday”. From this moment on, I began to brand myself as The Real Estate Angel.

I have come a long way in this field. I am currently apart of the Kacino Real Estate Group. The team lead, Kacino Liggens, himself, has become a great mentor of mine. In addition, I am a main component within the Williams Real Estate Services company. I work alongside the CEO, herself, Kristin Williams. She has shown me so much about real estate from a paralegal aspect.

When I first began my career within real estate, there were moments of down time, and during this downtown, my fingers were itching for more. I had another urge in me! I took a leap of faith, and pursued my interest within the beauty industry. In 2017, The Lash Angel began shortly after receiving a certification as a lash technician. I truly enjoy connecting with other woman while providing them with a beauty service. My love of seeing clients smile fulfilled my heart. I am so inspired each client, as every woman I have met has a story, a drive, and a purpose.

Now – I am happy to say, I am a very busy woman. And I, too, have story, a drive, and a purpose. I once said that I did not want to work a typical 9 to 5 position. But now, I find myself working longer hours, and as an entrepreneur, anyone would learn that this is not uncommon. It does get tough at times, but you have to ground yourself. I consistently remind myself of how hard I work to get where I am. It feel it is really important for individuals to know that progress is not always visible in grand ways. Sometimes, it will take baby steps and in the moment, it will not appear visible, but it will all be worth it in the end.
