We had the good fortune of connecting with Angel Ceasar and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Angel, what are you inspired by?
My biggest inspiration is my family. Growing up in a big minority family, my parents struggled to provide. I watched them struggle from job to job just to provide for our family with little to no time for their children. So I learned quickly that I wanted to pursue a career that I can focus on around my family. But it also had to be something I enjoyed doing and could be successful at. All of this is what inspired me and my husband Zack to start our own company Revolutionary Entertainment Group, LLC which is a multi-divisional entertainment company with a focus on music, media, film, and TV production as well as real estate development and a salon suite franchise called Salon Suites by A.S.J which we are looking to launch by the end of this year of beginning of 2025!
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Through the years as a Master Cosmetologist/Entrepreneur my main focus was always education. Education for myself and my clients along with educating the next generations of cosmetologists. I’m in an industry that is constantly evolving, and in order to maintain a high status I have to evolve with it otherwise you remain stagnant. I also got into the entertainment industry as a model/actor which also consists of constant learning. My road to success wasn’t easy. I started in salons where I struggled to build up my clientele in areas where the demographics wouldn’t allow for a more successful career. I knew that if I wanted to really succeed, I need to place myself in an area where I could have a select client that would allow me to earn a living solely on my creative side. So I moved across the country leaving behind everyone and everything I’ve ever known and found an area where that was possible. It was hard, because at times it was a very lonely journey. However I was able to overcome the loneliness by surrounding myself with like minded friends that very quickly became more like family.
I quickly learned that my family and home would always be there, and that the only failure in life is not trying! I’ve learned to appreciate everyone that has come into my life. I also appreciate those that have not stayed because they were all meant to be there for that specific season. They were my personal stepping stones on my journey (good and bad). My journey is my own unique story and I’m proud to say that I am more successful than I was yesterday and I will continue to pursue to be more successful tomorrow.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would tell a friend to visit the Avalon and Halcyon in Alpharetta, Georgia. Me and my family spend a lot of time at those two places because of the atmosphere, food choices, entertainment, and drinks! There are also events such as the Food Truck Alley in Alpharetta, Georgia where food trucks gather and everyone come together and enjoy each others company. Then there’s always sporting events such as the Hawks, Braves, or Falcons. It’s Atlanta so there are so many options that can keep a family or friend visiting from out of town entertained!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My biggest shoutout goes to my family! To my parents who always instilled the most encouragement to believe in myself and follow my dreams,I wouldn’t be were I am without you. And to my brother Esteban Jr. who pushed me harder than anyone when I doubted myself and believed in me more that I ever believed in myself, thank you. I also want to say thank you to my biggest mentors Zynn and Gregory Jones. At a time when I was most impressionable they were at my side to help guide me in the direction that set me up to pursue the dreams and goals I had set for myself. Their guidance, motivation, and support was the most important piece of my success. And to my amazing husband Zackrey Ceasar. He came into my life at a time when I felt like my path was coming to end. He was there by my side reminding me day in and day out to keep fighting for my dreams.
