We had the good fortune of connecting with Andujar Brutus and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andujar, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Every great accomplishment in my life has come with a leap of faith—a moment when I chose to embrace risk instead of staying in my comfort zone. While risk often carries a somewhat negative connotation, I see it as a gateway to growth and transformation. Many of the most rewarding moments in life are deeply intertwined with stepping into the unknown. Personally, I’ve learned to embrace taking calculated risks, even when it felt daunting or uncomfortable. Since turning 18, I’ve lived in various cities on my own, navigating the excitement and challenges of new beginnings. Along the way, I’ve held a wide range of jobs, each of which has left its mark on me—teaching me resilience, adaptability, and self-discovery. These experiences have been more than milestones; they’ve been defining chapters in shaping the man I am today. It all began with the courageous decision to step away from familiarity and embrace faith in what could be. As one of my favorite quotes says, “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” Each new experience has not only added to my ‘grand adventure’ but has also filled it with meaning, growth, and a deep sense of fulfillment.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Wearing multiple hats can feel nuanced at times, but each person’s uniqueness adds to the beauty of life’s tapestry. Growing up, I always felt a pull towards creative endeavors, including less conventional understandings of creativity. Early on, I even discovered that there lies creativity in science and mathematics. As I continued to explore both art and science, I found that perhaps I am drawn to things based on symmetry—a perfect balance where imagination meets structure. Both art and science rely on the ability to envision possibilities, transforming curiosity into meaning, whether through beauty, understanding, or the creation of something entirely new.

As a man balancing the intersection of modeling, creative direction, and computer science, I found it challenging to discover my focal point. I enjoy modeling because it allows me to play with self-expressive themes while exploring visually appealing mediums. Creative direction offers a way to showcase how my experiences have shaped my perspective, while computer science, a seemingly unrelated addition to my toolset, has surprisingly proven to be a perfect fit for developing creative projects through digital means.

While working across these various fields, the connections between them come gradually, and my journey continues to evolve. Overcoming the challenges involved in these pursuits produces artistry itself. I surrounded myself with people who shared my vision. After some time, brands began to notice my work and started reaching out. Though the work I do for brands is shaped by their creative discretion, my personal projects allow me to explore various topics. Currently, my mission is to delve into subjects such as mental health, spirituality, and how individuals are affected by society.

What sets me apart from other visionaries is that my work is continuously evolving—not only in quality but in soul. With my background in computer science, I plan to carry my passions into spaces yet unexplored within the creative landscape.

Throughout this journey, I’ve learned that perfection is impossible to attain. Each of us has our own perspectives and set of life lessons we’ve gathered. Creative endeavors speak to each of us differently, and it is this diversity that enriches the collective experience.

My journey is one of continuous evolution, where each project is not only an opportunity for personal growth but also a way to explore and shed light on important topics like mental health, spirituality, and how individuals are affected by society, all while staying true to my core values of integrity, well-being, and love in everything I create.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Of course, I’d need to take them to Downtown Atlanta one time and stop by ‘Park Bar’ on Walton Street. Anywhere in the area is a vibe really. I’m an adventurous person so we’d have to walk around the city for sure and make a few impromptu stops. ‘Kennesaw Mountain’ is on the itinerary as I love hiking. We’d go to the mandatories: ‘The Battery Atlanta’, ‘Atlantic Station’, and ‘Lenox Square’. Maybe visit a rooftop bar or two, some of my favorite vibes of all time. I’m discovering new favorite places every day.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
All of my family and friends who have been with me since the beginning, and to my inner circle—Lott-Kerby Lalime, Vic Rebernigg, Jove Lalime, Reginald Dorlean, Mendelson “Mehn” Janvier, and the whole Brutus fam—for hearing my concerns, and always offering wisdom, and encouragement. One of my best friends since childhood: Tariq “BL$$D” Sharrieff & the Sharrieff family for being visionary collaborators & supporters early on. Denise Thompson for helping me navigate certain parts of life and the business side of things. Last but not least, all my professional family and those who I may have missed mentioning by name or group. I appreciate you if you’ve contributed to my journey in any way, thank you.
