We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrett Cole – Procter and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrett, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My business started off as a hobby to process the grief I had behind losing my mother and recently my baby sister. I gifted a few to friends and family and the idea to sell them just came after that.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My soap is different from others because it comes from my heart. I meditate and clear my mind so all my soaps are handmade with good intentions and love. I aspire to inspire others to channel their grief and create something beautiful. My brand Mimi ReNee was named for my sister and my mother. I strive daily to create something as beautiful as they both were.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If you come to Atlanta and don’t go to the Vortex for a burger you’re cheating yourself.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would be unable to do any of this without my wonderful partner J.R. She’s been so supportive of the long nights and crazy smells during the creative process. Also my sisters of Eta Theta Psi Sorority, Inc. Each of these ladies push me to be my best self. Last but not least my business mentors Mita from www.3L3VAT3vibez.com and Allia from www.fashionfetish.co.
