We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrease Crosby and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrease, what inspires you?
This is gonna sound strange, but I am inspired by the lack of inclusion. Both of my businesses were created, because what I need it for hair care, and even entertainment. My particular group was left out so in order to make sure that my group is included I was inspired to start Curves and Curls LLC and MCC Entertainment.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?

Curves and Curls Slogan is Natural Products for a Natural Beauty. I chose this because I want every person to feel like their natural state should always be cared for first! My hair and skincare line has pushed me to start doing education on how to care for and treat natural hair and care for your skin. Using what I learned over the years caring for my afro and skin. I now operate a shop in Lake Alfred Florida and as a Traveling Stylist. I offer treatment and styling services for everything from afros to locs using only Curves and Curls products. I also have a “Fall Asleep Guarantee” which started as a joke between me and my clients that adapted into a guarantee. My services are never painful and most of my clientele come to my shop because they find my services to be so relaxing that they plan to fall asleep in my chair. I work well with sleeping clients seems like. MCC Entertainment is still a growing brand. I currently offer artist and talent management, hosting, creating promotions and marketing (ads and flyer designs), artist’s performances, and several other services. MCC Entertainment is also how I manage my modeling career. So, I use those same strategies I have learned to get my career going to help with the talents I manage.

What sets me apart from other companies is I always put my clients and customers first. I will never offer a service I know won’t benefit my client and that applies to Curves and Curls and MCC Entertainment.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am a big foodie and obviously I’m in entertainment so whenever we plan a girls trip it’s always me doing the itinerary so it would literally go something like this. Day one we would obviously either just got off of a flight or off of the road so it’s gonna be a simple day we’re gonna go to Buc-ee’s grab a few of their sandwiches just to get us going for the trip. During the day we would go to spots like Lickety Split Southern Kitchen order us, some smothered turkey wings, macaroni, and cheese, and share one of their oversize drinks then we would go to Rodeo Sports Bar for their frozen margaritas and rodeo dip. if it’s a brunch that my girls are looking for, I’m going to take them to Cirque Daiquiri Bar we’re going to have oysters and some of their custom daiquiris For the night life me and the girls would go to SkyyBox lounge, Seduction Gentlemen club (Get the lemon pepper wings), and Miami Lounge.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I was raised in the traditional south, and I was always taught that it takes a village to raise a community. I am a product of a village, so many people have their hand in helping me and pushing me and obviously my parents I can only imagine how they felt. When I informed them that I was quitting my job as a preschool teacher to become a model and work in the music industry. I would like to thank my friend Steve “Wett Wett” Lewis . He is the reason why I am as far as I am in entertainment as far as night clubs go. Jason Howard of M37 Management saw something in me, put me in front of different creators and people in the music and entertainment industry. He opened doors and put me in front of people that I probably would have never met. And last, but not least a Odorea Scott Allums she is my model coach. She pushes me to keep going as a Model and she helps me with booking shows and my walk. I’m greatly appreciative her helping me step into high fashion.
