We had the good fortune of connecting with Anderson Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anderson, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
To have a space to create. A space to vibe and to give opportunities to artist that may have never had the opportunity to showcase their work on a larger stage.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I guess my art is a reflection of me. Who I am, what and how I go about life. Sometimes carefree and sometimes locked in. I create what I feel and connects to things around me. From conversations to things I see. I guess I’m more proud of how far I have come and excited about just how further I want to take this. I got to where I am today by passion and hard work! Thats it! Setting my mind and manifesting my dreams. Don’t get me wrong success comes struggle and challenge. There are ups and downs, but know how to stay the course. I would like the world to know that my short time on this rock I gave it my everything and that will someday inspire the next dreamer, the next legacy, the next success story.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Man I don’t get out much but if I were to take my friend somewhere it would probably be a dope art exhibit event type of vibe. Hit up my watering hole Taverna and have some good drinks. Maybe a cigar or a little live music.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
If I would give anyone credit and dedicate a Shoutout to would be my late fiance Oksana Arkhipova. She was the one that made me believe and see the vision. None of what I have done or have accomplished would not be possible without her encouragement, her push and belief in me. She saw what I knew but didn’t see.
