We had the good fortune of connecting with An’Darrio Abrams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi An’Darrio, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I think one of the most important factors behind our brand, Chasing: Reality, is that we are passionate about the work we are doing. We have deadlines we have to meet and we have stories we would like to share. The purpose of the network is to showcase those individuals that have a voice that just need that push. We (Ressie Gamble, Quentin Harris, Markel Logan, and Myself) work really hard with our shows to showcase our community through the good and the bad.

As I am the editor of all of the content seen on Chasing: Reality, I have to put what I’m doing aside to deliver the content on time and in a polished manner. That is the promise behind the brand and what makes it successful.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Chasing: Reality, LLC is an LGBTQ+ Entertainment platform designed for the culture within our community. With shows such as Love & Hip Hop and The Real Housewives, we never see the spotlight of people who identify as LGBTQ+ which is why this network was made to bring it to life. Of course, every business goes through its ups and downs so it was not easy. As a content creator, producer, editor, and director between many of the shows on our channel, it is a juggle to maintain the business and work a 9 to 5. However, I love what I do and what I bring into our community!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to everyone who owns a small business – whether it is in entertainment, fashion, beauty, or any organization. You are chasing your dreams and making it BIG. Despite our situations with COVID-19 and other things hindering us, keep progressing and building!
