We had the good fortune of connecting with Anchandria Collins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anchandria, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
The freedom of allowing them to express themselves. Having four children of my own and growing up in a household being the oldest of 4 sisters I learned quickly that because you share the same DNA, don’t mean we share the same interests. But, only when I became a mother did I understand how important it was to allow my children to express themselves even if I didn’t agree. This becomes a trauma as you become an adult, because as a child being told you are not allowed to express yourself or have a part of decision making when it comes to you because you are a child, that follows into your adulthood and it becomes a trauma in your life now you hold your feelings inside or hard for you to make decisions. So now that I am a mother, I have realized that I don’t control them, God gave me the privilege to teach and learn from them so with my guidance they will become successful and whole adults with a peaceful thought process. They have the freedom of expression but that doesn’t mean they are not discipline. They understand that whatever they put out into the universe they receive it back weather its good or bad. Our goal is to provide them with the mental, emotional and physical tools they need to become adults with a sound mind to win this game of life.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Collins Legacy Tax & Credit Services, provides credit assistance and starting January we will be preparing taxes. We also provide notary, bookkeeping, consultations and assistance with starting your own business. I am most proud about taking the first step to make it reality and I’m excited about this next project we are working on that is going to change so many lives. Determination is what got me to where I am now. Nothing worth fighting for in life is easy, I had to understand not every day is going to be perfect but I still choose to show up anyway. My vision that God has showed me is worth fighting for and showing up everyday for I just have to keep going to get there and I’m going to do just that. I’m overcoming challenges everyday by facing whatever may come my way head on and not stopping until it no longer becomes a challenge. I have learned to believe in myself even when I don’t understand because whatever is aligned with my purpose is going to find its way to me, I just have to be willing to allow things to fall out and in of my life. Always be open to receive and trust the process. I want the world to know that I am human with ups and downs but I choose to create a unforgettable experience here on earth that will leave generational wealth for generations to come. No matter how many things don’t work out keep going until you find your purpose and you will know it’s your purpose because it comes natural and it will work out in every way.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well everyone that knows me know I’m a home body. Most of the time I create my own experiences right here at home. But, If I must go out I enjoy going to Piedmont Park and having picnics, There is this water park in Clayton County and we took our daughters there and we really had a great time and its not expensive and the Universal Soul Circus is also great when its here. The Illuminarium Atlanta is a really nice experience. Ponce City Market is always great.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The love, support and encouragement of my family and my best friend more like my soul sister. My husband is the best, no matter how crazy my ideas may sound he makes sure they become my reality. He support, uplifts, love, care, fills me up and he listens to me and on what I’m on no matter what. I am so thankful for him and love him more and more everyday, Proud to carry that last name. My mother is someone who I have always admired her determination in life and watching her bring her dreams into reality. She supports, love and care not only for me but my husband and children as well she is just a natural lover and she so funny. Also, she is someone I can count on to tell me the truth and does it with so much love. My children, I learn so much from them, to love unconditionally, to live a life of authenticity, to show up everyday, and appreciate life itself. Now these next 2 are my motivators, to keep me going and to keep showing up for myself even if no one shows up for me, My baby sister and my soul sister reminds me constantly to keep going. It’s like they can feel my soul sometimes. They are also there to support my ideas no matter what they may sound like and willing available to make it happen.
