We had the good fortune of connecting with Alxndr Coke and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alxndr, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
One habit I feel like has helped me succeed is finding the drive to get something objective done each day that will push me towards my goal. Remembering that by putting in constant work everyday even when I don’t want to is what is going to make that difference in the end.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a child of immigrant parents my eyes and ears have always been blessed to experience different cultures. To see, feel and experience different ways of life. Spending time in Jamaica as a young man Grew my love for dancehall and reggae music while my time in America would shape my love for Hip-Hop, Alternative Rock, Metal, Pop, and even Country Music at times.

Being a musical artist it gives me a unique opportunity to share those experiences of life through my music.

There are artists that stick to a certain lane once they find a sound that fits them. But that’s not me!

No matter what the vibe or emotion the song expresses, My mission is to create music that connects to people’s hearts and that pushes people to be the best they can be!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite place in the city is definitely Little 5 Points it’s a cool area to visit and filled with so much Art and Black Talent it’s a must visit area.

You’ve also gotta check out some history of the Civil Rights Movement, see MLK Jrs House!

Definitely gotta visit a Waffle House after midnight, but all in all

Atlanta is a thriving black metropolis, so there are plenty of opportunities to check out black owned businesses in the area!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shout out the New Year Music Group. Avey Carter, JaeEss, Tyler Omari, and Lord Nova. These guys are brothers to me. We travel together, constantly are working together whether it be via a FaceTime call at 2am planning a video shoot or if it’s us in a studio finishing up a track for a project. We are an extremely tight knit team and we thrive when each of us are thriving individually. Another Important part of what’s going on with Alxndr Coke wouldn’t be possible without the expertise and drive of another one of my brothers Big Gucci Dre(@bigguccidre) who runs Sound 7 Studio in ATL. Without all these guys I wouldn’t be anywhere far as I am now!
