We had the good fortune of connecting with Alicia Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alicia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process in starting my own business was initially a part time-side gig. The idea behind being my own boss was amazing but I Never really considered the work behind it. It wasn’t until I spoke with one of my mentors and he shared how the business really changed his life. Being a Business owner is a reality of self awareness and accountability for good service. When you offer a product or service, you are required to be a activist for your community.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As a Single mom of 3 amazing boys, I Lost my Mom to Domestic Violence in 2009. As a Only child, I felt like I had to work extra hard because it was just me. Prior to becoming a Network Marketing Professional, After 2 years in college and $18k in debt. I still ended up working in the Administrative/Medical Field for 8 years; I found myself climbing a ladder that was not fulfilling. So Just about 3 years ago, I saw this opportunity and it was a no brainer! I got started. The company started working on my credit, My score went up 85pts in my first 45 days because they deleted 4 items on my credit, 1 old cell phone bill, a cable bill and both of those student loans! I fired my boss 6 months later and I finally went to work, but this time for me! I chose Network Marketing because I was tired of working for others and still had no time to be with my kids and I missed out on a lot of their events. Helping others has been such a blessing for me.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would visit Navy Pier and take a walk down the pier. There would be a pit stop to the bar for a quick cocktail. Then we would head over to Beggars Pizza for some great pizza before we end the night on the Anita Dee Boat Party for some dancing and live music.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give honor to My Mentor Apostle Marlon Hester And Courtney Jackson, My entire Elite Team, My Supportive Friends and Family for allowing me to be apart of an amazing organization and Family. I truly honor you all for being by my side through the ups and the downs.
