We had the good fortune of connecting with Ali Goodman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ali, what makes you happy? Why?
This one is tough because there are so many answers! My day-to-day happiness comes from being creative, exploring new places and getting out of my “bubble.” I tend to be a homebody, but I find myself the happiest when I’ve done something out of my usual routine (especially if it includes my puppy, Milo!) This realization played a huge role in creating my platform, as it pushes me to try new restaurants, meet new people, and get out of my comfort zone.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have always taken pride in being the go-to friend for new restaurants and events happening around the city, so I figured why not spin it into something a broader audience could enjoy? I never thought it would become what it has, but it has been truly so much fun. The biggest obstacle for me has been trying to grow and keep up with other creators out there while also maintaining the light-hearted creative outlet that it started as.

There is a seemingly never-ending amount of content creators out there, so finding my niche and really homing in on it has been something I am trying to focus on. It can be hard to distinguish your voice, but finding it adds to the fun. Reminding myself that this is just a creative outlet for me is what keeps me going!

If there is one thing I want people to know about my page it’s that I am really just trying to have fun with it and, as I always say, here for the vibes!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This may be my favorite question ever. I live for a good itinerary, especially when it involves hitting the highlights in my favorite city! I have found that a lot of friends visiting from out of town have no clue what to do when they get here, so I always recommend taking it one neighborhood at a time.

• Beltline/ Old Fourth Ward/ Inman Park: Ponce City Market is a must! Then take a stroll on the beltline, grab a patio pouch at Ladybird, a bite at Krog Street Market and top it off with a donut from The Salty of course. Also, check out Atlanta Worldwide Gallery for vintage cameras and cool imagery of the city.

• Virginia Highlands/ Midtown: Start with brunch at Dad’s (always a hit!) or a nicer meal at Murphy’s. Next, take a walk through Piedmont Park, grab a coffee at Sean’s Heart of the Park, and finish it off at Park Tavern. If you’re looking for a night out, you must hit Neighbor’s and Dark Horse (bonus points if you sing Karaoke!)

• Buckhead: My neighborhood! Strolling through Buckhead Village is always my favorite kind of day. They have the best window shopping, restaurants- try the pizza at Yeppa, and outdoor patios – Le Bilboquet is a classic. If you’re a dog lover you must visit Fetch- you can find me there several times a week with my schnoodle, Milo!

• West Midtown: So many good restaurants in one area! For fine dining, O-Ku, Little Sparrow and Mujo are sure to please. Also check out a game bar, Flight Club, Ormsby’s or PuttShack, with friends. The Works is another great food hall with lots to do and see!

I could go on forever, so if you need more ideas, be sure to follow me (shameless plug)- I love planning things to do in the city!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to give credit to my supportive group of friends around me. I was really nervous about posting content and putting myself out there, but they have pushed me to embrace it and be proud of what I am creating. d
