Meet Alexis Redding | Real Estate Professional

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexis Redding and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alexis, how do you think about risk?
I firmly believe that every choice we make involves an element of risk. Each decision presents the possibility of heading in various directions. Honestly, taking risks has been crucial in my journey. Without risks I feel like I wouldn’t have made the choice to just try and get my real estate license to start my business as a real estate professional. It required me to step out of my comfort zone completely. By taking a risk in dedicating my time and hyper focusing on my mission, I embraced the inherent risks involved. I was so committed to getting this done no matter what it took from me. Taking these risks surely allowed my vision of who I aspired to become clearer. I consciously choose to prioritize studying instead of engaging in other opportunities to do everything outside of completing my mission towards entrepreneurship. I stayed in the house for three months straight. I was dedicated to the max to finally get this done. While I am surely enjoying the fruits of this door that I opened; I’m uncertain of what other doors could’ve opened and that right there constitutes another risk. So as a result of me planning wisely, I anticipate that this risk will pay off further than my current vision and manifest in so many ethereal ways.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Whew! Let me tell you, the real estate exam is no joke. It truly tested my dedication and perseverance.I worked on my license sporadically over the years due to conflicting schedules. But you know what? I firmly believe in never giving up, and I believe if something is meant for you, it will always find a way for you. My journey to getting my license unfolded in divine timing. Every single aspect of it seemed perfectly aligned with my life at that moment. I’ve always been an extremely disciplined person especially when I set my mind to achieving a specific goal. It gets done! I reached a point where I wanted to further my education while also maintaining a flexible schedule to pursue my dreams of traveling the world. Real estate turned out to be the perfect balance – being my own boss with a flexible schedule.
So, I made the decision to channel my discipline and dedicate three solid months to studying for the exam. It required sacrifices, such as putting my social life on hold and passing up on other opportunities. But my passion for real estate and the strong desire to make it my vocation drove me forward. Throughout the journey, I had heard countless times that I would make an amazing real estate agent, but I wasn’t mentally, spiritually, or physically ready at that time.
I took a leap of faith and then I applied the belief in myself that I always have for others to win, and fully embraced what I desired most for so long. And you know what? It all came to fruition. I always tell everyone I am absolutely elated that I took that chance. The fulfillment I feel now is a result of believing in myself and committing to making this dream a reality.
Because of my dedication to getting here, I now have the privilege of working with a diverse range of individuals, and I take pride in catering to each person’s unique needs. My utmost priority is to curate and achieve my clients’ home goals together. I have a genuine commitment to their success, I am here for them and to guide with support every step of the way.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had a friend visiting for a week I’d always first ask them what’s their favorite cuisine and analyze what they love to do most. I’d create a little itinerary around what they like. Regardless though! I am taking them to the consulate restaurant in midtown. This is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Atlanta. It changes its menu like every month to a new country. Always fresh, always new. Great concept!
We would also probably hang out in Buckhead for shopping, do some pilates of course, maybe hiking or outdoor activities. In the end we would relax and chat our heads off catching up super laid back at home watching movies when all is said and done.
Overall I live in midtown so there are so many places to try and it is always something new or fun to do in Atlanta. Piedmont Park has a lot of unique festivals throughout the year. Rocksteady is a cool concept as well and of course sushi at Umi.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I read a lot. Like A LOT! I’m talking about a Barnes and Noble membership and two bookshelves full in my home of these amazing things called books. I must say The Mountain Is You by Brianna Wiest is a must read. It’s about turning self sabotage into self mastery.
I would like to thank my friend and coworker, Meagan Lantinga. Our paths crossed in perfect timing, just months before I officially obtained my license. Meagan has been selflessly assisting me with all the little concerns that arise in this industry. Her support and guidance have been invaluable.
I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Don Charlton, a successful tech entrepreneur whose expertise and wisdom have played a crucial role in my journey. Don consistently provides me with his honest feedback and advice on what I truly need to hear instead of what I want to hear. It has helped my growth tremendously. He is part of my motivation for finally getting my license and upcoming successes in my life.
