We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexandria Singleton-Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexandria, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson that my business/career has taught me is to always be willing to learn and grow. No matter how much experience or knowledge you have, there is always room for improvement and new insights. By staying open to feedback and seeking out new opportunities for growth, I have been able to expand my skills and take on new challenges that have ultimately led to greater success and satisfaction in my work.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a makeup artist and influencer, it’s crucial to have something that sets you apart. For me, it’s my unwavering passion for my craft. I believe that when you love what you do, your work speaks for itself, and that’s what I strive for every day. Whether I’m creating a bold and daring look or a subtle, natural one, I pour my heart and soul into every application. It’s this dedication that has helped me build a loyal following and establish myself in the industry. Even when facing challenges, I maintain a positive attitude, believing that everything happens for a purpose. Through my work, I have had the opportunity to boost people’s confidence and inspire others to pursue their passions. I am thankful for the unwavering support of my supporters whose genuine and patient encouragement has helped me to grow as an artist.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are plenty of things to do in Atlanta, whether you’re looking for cultural experiences, outdoor adventures, or family-friendly activities. One must-visit destination is the Georgia Aquarium, which is home to thousands of marine animals, including whale sharks, beluga whales, and penguins. Another popular attraction is the World of Coca-Cola, where you can learn about the history and culture of the iconic soft drink brand. For a taste of Atlanta’s history, head to the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site, which includes his childhood home, the church where he preached, and his final resting place. If you’re looking to enjoy the outdoors, visit Piedmont Park, which offers miles of walking and biking trails, as well as picnic areas and a dog park. And for sports fans, catch a game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home to the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United FC. With so much to see and do, you’ll never be bored in Atlanta.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I am genuinely thankful for all I have accomplished thus far, and I want to thank God first. Building a solid relationship with God and being spiritually aligned has been the key to my success. Without God’s blessings, I wouldn’t have this incredible platform I have today. I also want to express my gratitude toward the wonderful people who have helped me along my journey. My husband, Quentin, has been my rock, inspiration, and motivator. I wouldn’t be where I am today without his love and support. My parents, Lisa and Anthony, have always been there for me, and they continue to help me with my YouTube channel. My mom is my manager, and my father and his band member Malcolm 2001 (of Fever In Da Funkhouse) provide some of their amazing music for my videos. My mother-in-law Joanne pushed me to make my first YouTube video, and I will always be grateful for her encouragement. I also want to recognize my grandparents, Charlene & Lloyd Napper, and my late grandparents, Virginia & Jewel Singleton (rest in peace). They have taught me so much about life and have provided me with guidance and wisdom. I’m also grateful to my uncles, Cedric and Rod, for giving me my first big break in the entertainment industry. Kayla, the owner of “The Hair Studio by Kayla Christen,” has been my mentor and has taught me the fundamentals of the beauty industry. An a special thanks to my babies Mia, Noah, Marques, Angel and Alyssa I am truly blessed to have such amazing people in my life. Lastly, I want to thank all my supporters who have been patient with me and my craft. Your support means everything to me, and I’m forever grateful for every one of you.
