Meet Alexander Moomey | Brand owner | Entrepreneur| Jack of All Trades

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexander Moomey and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alexander, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I enjoy being different and do not want to be part of a crowd, I am strongly rooted in that. I don’t have a particular style but love wearing different outfits and creating my own look being inspired by others.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is deeply inspired by skateboarders. The logo reflects a graffiti style that pays homage to street art and the rebellious spirit of skaters. Initially, I set out to create a skate brand, but I quickly realized that this niche market posed challenges—mainly because many skaters don’t have the means to spend much on apparel.
So, I shifted my focus to streetwear, which still appeals to skaters but also includes a broader audience, such as the “skaters” (like Thrasher posers). My style continues to represent the authenticity of skaters and street culture by incorporating upcycled and vintage wear, encouraging people to craft their own unique looks.
One major lesson I’ve learned is that branding isn’t easy. Building a brand means more than just selling a product with a logo—it’s about connecting with people who resonate with your vision. Right now, I’m working on growing my fanbase and establishing trust in my brand. My goal is to inspire others and show them they don’t need designer labels to express themselves. You have the creativity and tools to design your own identity—don’t buy into the false ideals presented on social media. Social media creates a smoke in mirror construct that can convince others to follow certain steps to get to their goals. I have learned that if you stick to what you love, the people will see the authenticity, the trust and buy into that more than a copy and paste brand idea that is displayed on social media.
For a long time, I compared myself to others, but I eventually realized that if I wanted to achieve what they had—or more—I needed to take action and take control of my own path. This journey isn’t easy and requires resilience, but it’s possible. Start small, take baby steps, and they’ll lead to giant leaps.
I began by embracing upcycling and using my logo as a metaphorical and literal act of graffiti—a way to defy the norms and say “screw the world.” You are your greatest obstacle; your limitations are self-imposed.
For me, and for my brand, standing out is essential. And what better way to stand out than by creating your own clothes?

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For breakfast, we’ll start the day at The Flying Biscuit in Downtown Atlanta.
Afterward, we’ll head to Little Five Points to explore thrift stores and local shops. While we’re there, I recommend a photoshoot to capture the vibrant, street-style vibe of the area.
Next, we’ll make our way to Topgolf in Midtown—a fun activity for everyone, no athletic skills required! Just swing the club and aim for those dingers (as we like to say).
For dinner, we’ll head to Ponce City Market and dine at Bellina Alimentari, an authentic Italian restaurant. Be sure to end the meal with their delicious tiramisu.
To wrap up the night, we’ll head back to Carrollton, where I live, and visit Local Ties, a cozy brewery. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy local brews, play board games, and relax with good company.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are a few people I want to commemorate for their influence on my journey.
First is my best friend, Jason Ruiz, who inspired me to chase my dreams and cherish the little moments. He introduced me to longboarding, which eventually led to skateboarding—a passion that sparked the idea to create my own brand.
Next is my best friend Jack VanPelt, also known as the aspiring rap artist Kadaver. His edgy and bold creativity inspired me to push boundaries and approach things with a fearless mindset.
Most importantly, I want to honor my amazing wife, Mikayla Moomey. For over six years, she has stood by me through every creative phase, serving as my backbone and unwavering support. Her own entrepreneurial journey, creating her boutique, The Posh Sister, gave me the final push to strive for my personal brand. Her determination and success inspire me every day.
Finally, I want to thank the Lord for blessing me with the passion and drive to pursue these challenging goals. I truly believe He placed these incredible people in my life to inspire and encourage me. Their presence fuels my ambition to achieve more and to keep striving for greatness.
