We had the good fortune of connecting with Aleshia Vannoy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aleshia, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success is being courageous. Being an entrepreneur has been a challenge. Every day I’m faced with tough situations, setbacks, difficult people, and temptation. Without God, this experience can be frightening but with God, it’s a great adventure.

Many people think that prosperity and success come from having power, who you know, what you know, who you’re connected with, and relentless desires to get ahead. But the strategy for success you must be strong and courageous ( Joshua 1:6) because the task ahead can be very difficult. Also, God is the foundation of my business. Asking God to direct me each day, makes me more confident that He will walk me through all of life’s challenges.

With 13 plus years in the beauty industry business, I believe enhancing your outer beauty begins with self-love. What sets me apart from others would be quality and professional service. I have a unique ability to capture the example of a look a customer is going for & personalize it for their face, always fulfilling each need & desire.

I’m personal with each customer. I like to feel their energy, it helps me control the mood, that plus prayer = Amazing results every time.

Through trials and tribulations, I am most proud and grateful of where I am today. Working in the corporate world since I was 16 years old was a great learning experience to help me become who I am today. Hard work and dedication got me where I am today. I’ve always had a desire to do makeup and own my own business. When the pandemic hit in 2019, I took a leap of faith to pursuing my dreams.

I’m a mother of two beautiful children plus three bonus children and a wife. Being an entrepreneur is not easy. The lessons I’ve learned along the way is that you must have a passion for what you do, you have to have discipline, you have to work hard, you have to plan, and you must have time management. Faith without works is dead. You have to take action. I learn to keep learning and just make it happen.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
To my best friend visiting me in Atlanta, there’s so much to do here. We will stay at InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta, an IHG Hotel with room service.

Restaurants that we will eat at are: CAJUN CRAB DADDY for dinner in Jonesboro, GA; ABC (Atlanta Breakfast Club) They have the best chicken and waffles for breakfast ; Hobnob Atlantic Station where we would be eating for lunch and shopping at the Atlantic Station and Ponce City Market.

My favorite hang out spot for the night: Sivas Hookah Lounge. Great DJ, delicious food and awesome drinks!!!!

Some of the most fun and interesting places to check out are: Culture Experience ATL, New Black Wall Street, and Atlanta Selfie Museum.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First of all, I want to give God all the glory. For His love, mercy, and guidance. I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for God in my life. Second, to my amazing husband, my biggest fan, my best friend, Neal Vannoy (the one & only). Thank you for supporting me through this journey and supporting all my dreams. Thank you for not giving up on me. I can’t thank you enough for believing in me when I doubted myself at times. Thank you for pushing me to be better than yesterday. I love you. Third, I dedicate this shoutout to my father who walked me down the aisle in August 2021 and passed away in October 2021. It’s been tough but I know he is with me in spirit and so proud of me. I love you dad.
