We had the good fortune of connecting with alejandra meza and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi alejandra, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
The end goal for me is to eventually become a esthetician. I’ve always loved skincare and makeup ever since I can remember. Helping other women feel beautiful would be just another addition to that! Im planning on starting esthetician school very soon. I love modeling, and I would also want to further my career in that. Modeling is something i’ve been passionate about for years and I always see myself doing that! As for now my long term goal for myself is starting that journey. Of course my overall goal in life though is just to be happy,
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What i’m most excited about is the future! I feel like I have so much to look forward too. Apart from going to esthetician school and starting my own business, I would love to go further in the modeling industry. Growing up i wouldn’t see many plus size women in the modeling industry and I love that i see much more representation! Our young girls need to see that. Everyone should be able to be happy in your own skin no matter your shape/size. Modeling is something i see myself always doing no matter what. It took a lot of work and consistency to get to where I am today, I honestly never thought i’d ever be working with different brands. The biggest lesson I learned from all this is to have self love and be confident in who I am.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a friend visiting the area I would take them to Ponce City Market to try Ton Ton ramen & yakitori! then I would take them up to “The Roof” to have some drinks. After we could walk the beltline and see some murals. Some other fun places would be the more touristy places like the aquarium, the ferris wheel, and maybe even stone mountain for a hike.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout my mom! She’s literally my photographer, most of my pictures she’s taken! She has raised me to love myself and be a confident woman. She’s the reason I am who I am today. I’ll always be grateful and thankful that she is my mother.
