Hi Akira, what do you want people to remember about you?
I want my legacy to be an image of the hard work and dedication that I have dedicated to my family and businesses. The example that I set for my 4 beautiful children, to wake up, pray, go into the world with a smile and the light God has given you. Always do the right thing even when no one is looking. To complete task given to you with love, care and dedication. Be a finisher, its not how fast you finish but the care you handle it with. I want people to remember the love I put into the world!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
For the past 12 years I have been a licensed cosmetologist with the state of South Carolina. For 9 of those years I have focused on eyelash extensions.We specialize in beautifying people for the inside out. We offer a host of health and wellness products, facials, teeth whitening and so many other services. Running a full service salon is by far not the easiest job but very rewarding when I see smile on the clients faces! It’s a very lucrative industry. It has allowed me to provide for my family

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If they came to Columbia, South Carolina they would be surprised how small but fun our town is! First I would take them to my alumni campus, The University of South Carolina, Go Gamecocks! On Saturday I would take them to a football game and of course the waffle house when its over. We definitely would have to hit the party districts in town, Five Points and The Vista. For a classy dining experience I would choose California Dreaming, great food and music. For shopping we would hit the biggest mall in town Columbiana Place Mall! We also have some beautiful river walks and parks like Finely Park. Overall it would be a fun an relaxing experience!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My Parents! Although we have our ups and downs I can never deny them of the love, hard work and care they have instilled in me. God gave them a vision when it came to my life and they did everything in their power to fulfil it and for that I love them so much!!
