We had the good fortune of connecting with Airel Frazier and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Airel, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I believe risk are what makes and breaks us. You never know if you choose/choose not to do something how it will affect you in the long run, but the only probably is you may regret never taking the risk. Throughout life we are going to make mistakes & accomplishments but the common denominator for both is the risk you took to get there. In my life risk has helped me grow in life. To know what I am/am not capable of and also what the future holds for me.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Ever since I was little, I had a creative eye for things. Whether that’s cooking, drawing, doing hair, or planning something. Helping people and making them smile was always a pleasure to me. What really interested me was being able to create what others couldn’t see. For example, a girl has natural true beauty but she doesn’t feel that way about herself. I want to help her see what I and others are seeing. That could simply be me using my hands to create a version of herself that she’s never seen. Not changing who she is but enhancing her natural beauty. Another example is I love creating stories in my head. For intense someone or myself could be talking about doing a butterfly photoshoot. Within 30 seconds my mind has the whole photoshoot idea planned out. Basically being able to make a story/dream come to life. With my creative thinking, it’s helped me become successful in the things I do. It separates me from others, because they don’t think like me. Just because I had this awesome thinking didn’t make everything easy for me, it was hard. You have to grind, hustle and not let your insecurity or distractions stop you from fulfilling your dreams.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my friend was in town and I wanted to show them the best time ever, we would go sky diving. I’ve never been sky diving out of a plane before but I have been in a sky diving training machine. I know it’s not the same as jumping thousands of feet from the ground but I think I am a little prepared. I would want my friend and I to experience this. Also to understand the sky’s the limit. This means that there are no limits and that anything is possible. If we are to jump out of the plane individually or together, I feel our mindset will change. We will look at life differently and really shoot for the stars when it comes to our dreams. Being able to let go and let your body fall but understanding everything’s going to be all right, you just have to go for it.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The two people that deserve the most recognition is my mom and aunt. I really couldn’t do any of this without them. From the pressure they put on me to be great, investing in me, motivating me, showing up to EVERY event & just supporting me. My aunt lives in a different state, but she manages to call me every single day and ask me what’s on my agenda, reminding me of upcoming events, keeping me on my toes & never giving up on me. My mom on the other hand, is the woman that raised me to be who I am today. A hustler, successful woman, genuine, caring, hardworking, determined and more. I get all that from her. She always reminds me that no matter what happens she will always be there, pick me up when I fall, and show me how to walk again.
