Meet Ahriell Johnson | Tarot Reader & Spiritual Coach/Consultant

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ahriell Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ahriell, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
For starters, I have a very interesting relationship to risk. When it comes to the relationships in my life; whether friends, family, or any other social dynamics I tends to find myself in, I consider myself a huge risk assessor! I definitely err on the side of caution when it comes to relationships I build in all areas of my life. Which in my opinion has been one of my stronger suits, especially when it has allowed me to avoid certain situations that would have been less than ideal for me.
Now, on the other hand, when it comes to my career, I have taken more of a “balls to the wall,” approach. I’ve always allowed my heart to guide me, when it came to my career choices and in doing so, there is no way around risk.. Yet, I’ve always had a confidence in this area to truly let my heart do the speaking and trusting that as long as I bring my brain along for the ride (and in some cases I didn’t, but hey! you live and you learn) it’ll pay off. And, this pay off point is now, slowly but surely.
To conclude, my overall philosophy on risk is, when you bet on yourself, you never lose. So you may as well roll dice!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Crzy Dreamr is a spiritually based business located in Long Beach, California. CD’s purpose is to help millions of people reach self-actualization by empowering them to realize their full potential.
Our mission for CrzyDreamr is to teach fundamental truths of life and how spiritual practices can allow individuals to reach self fulfillment.
We use tools such as life coaching, spiritual consulting, and specialized courses that teach our clients ways that they can elevate themselves in their personal lives, or business endeavors and maintain that elevated state to achieve their goals and establish a purpose filled life.
It’s funny because never in a million years would I have thought I’d read tarot and offer people spiritual guidance as a profession, but through all of this I’ve found that the best things in life come when you least expect them. This business has combined my love for being of service to as many people as humanly possible, in the guise of advice and guidance coming from intuition and transmuting that into practical steps .
It hasn’t been easy nor is it now. However, I love doing what I do so much that I lose myself in it and it doesn’t feel forced but fluid.
Whenever i’m faced with a challenge, I definitely revert back to that, “practice what you preach,” model! Were humans so it’s never easy to do that, especially when dealing with your own “stuff,” but being in this field of work, it holds you accountable. Like, how are you telling others to do these practices of transmuting energy, if you aren’t doing the same? That’s literally why I started Crzy Dreamr because my spiritual practices and routines and study has worked for me, and when shown to family and friends and they actually implemented my suggestion, seeing it work for them, I thought, you may be on to something!
With that being said, it’s been a long time coming but I am so excited to introduce my first online course: The Fools Journey: A Path to Enlightenment through Tarot, That will be available Spring 2022. It’s taken me over a year to complete and while i’m still working out the kinks and making sure its as perfect as can be for those interested, I know it will be a loving gift to anyone who’s excited to learn more about themselves through this medium.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Living in Long Beach, California, the vibe is really mellow with so many hidden gems that even if you’ve lived here for a while there is always potential to discover new people, places, and things that you haven’t before.
So, if I was showing a friend around immediately after picking them up from the airport I’d drive them to this plant based fast food spot called, Plant Power, that is so delicious and guilt free simply because everything you’re eating is so delicious and has no trace of animals or animal byproducts in them! Then, I’d most certainly bring them back to the crib aka ‘the portal’ (my apartment in downtown Long Beach) so we could sit and chill, let our food digest and get ready to take a walk down to the beach. I live downtown so, we’d take a walk to shoreline village which has these cool little shops and restaurants located right on the beach so we’d head down for a night walk and that would end the first day.
I love to walk, so the next day I’d probably invite them for coffee at a cafe right next to my apartment called, Rose Park Roasters. They have this amazing maple lavender latte that I get from there (hot or iced) and the quality of their coffee is really good I know they have coffee beans sourced from Ethiopia which is my favorite. So, we’d walk and talk with our coffees, check out the downtown skyline. I love the architecture of Long Beach, its interesting because if you pay close attention to the imagery in a lot of the historical buildings downtown they have a lot of references to the, philosophers stone, which is just the wheel of the 12 zodiac signs. After, were done with our walk, I’d probably ask if they wanted to check out one of my favorite places in LB which is, Shades of Africa! The owner, Renee is super dope and has a lot of valuable knowledge and wisdom that she gives to her customers which really embodies her community. She is the epitome of, ‘for us, by us!”
So the next morning, we’d go to a free yoga class on, the bluff, located on ocean and junipero (oceanfront), break a sweat for an hour and after that go get an amazing açaí bowl from, Tru Nature, sit outside and chat for a bit.
truth be told, this march of 2o21 I took a year long bout of sobriety and celibacy, so there hasn’t been much clubbing or bar hopping on my end, even with things opening back up from the pandemic. However if my friend did want to explore that scene i’d definitely have no problem with sipping on a Red Bull, hitting up some of my DJ homegirls in the area like, Las Chicas Tristes, and introducing her to the LB nightlife. Some bars that I’ve been to pre covid, and even, during has been: Mezcalero, which is a roof top bar and lounge on broadway. Black, is another cocktail lounge you could hit, especially during the weekends, it’s somewhere you can dance and might catch your favorite song. The grasshopper, is a cocktail lounge I actually took a friend to celebrate her birthday while she was in town, that’s located on Anaheim. I really love their decor and they have a really cool, ambiance to their patio area. Great for a date.
